More Problems At Hemsby.

Part of the road close to the edge of the dunes has collapsed. The crew yet again have been working to support those in the Village. And I fear yhings will get worse over winter.

GYBC were contacted  this morning  about the problems arising .For what ever reason they didn't  respond. As usual  the crew and Volunteers gave there help.

It’s so sad to see what’s happening at hemsby I can help but wonder if the outer harbour at Yarmouth is having an affect on tidal flow and with higher tides and rough seas all these circumstances coming together not helping hemsby.

Speaking  with local fisherman,who have fished all there life at sea.They believe  drudgeing has added to the problem.I still can't get over the fact that only the Lifeboat  crew,volunteers  and local are the only ones fighting  hard to safe what's left  of the beach and dunes.

Taking away material can vastly effect coastal security.

Google "Hallsands Village" in South Devon.

A fishing village destroyed by the sea and caused by the dredging of shingle for the construction of Devonport Naval Base.

Still lots of problems up there at Hemsby. We call to cheeky our boat.All good,got the shore power on.Going back home.lots and lots of water at Potter.Almost another broad.Dont tell BA.Otherywise there charge  for moorings. .

Problems at Pakefield too, just south of Lowestoft. Caravan site evacuated. Road and cliff edge lost unexpectedly. And caravans left right on the edge. There must be parts of that site that won’t be able to be used again and need clearing. 

And it exposed an unexploded bomb.

Just watched  A place in the country  Which was on Norfolk. They also spoke with people  in Hemsby. Talking to Lance,he moved his property  back 5 Mt,The chairman  of SHC.And a resident last I think no longer has a road.
