A boat has just left Richardson's, playing 'ice breakers'. He was struggling. 

The ice is far thicker than I had thought. I reckon an inch in places.

what a change in the weather, I woke up yesterday to 7 degrees and it got into double figures by the end of the day, and by the looks off it is still in double figures this morning.

I hope the mods can highlight this post.

I have just observed that the ice has not gone. There are ice sheets drifting just below the waves. I don't know how thick but they are there.

Please exercise extreme caution if navigating.
