What is the best way to secure your Boat in these sorts of conditions we are now having

With good condition berthing ropes, and plenty of em :facepalm:

Joking aside - Doubling up if you feel the need, springs are also advised, well adjusted fenders would be a bonus too

Springs every time for me. I tend to use them most of the time anyway, for the little extra time it takes it's well worth it IMHO. Keeps you snug overnight if the wind gets up and you don't have to worry about adjusting for the tide.
