SPEEDTRIPLE
Neil (SPEEDTRIPLE) suggested this last night and we thought it a good idea. So let's have your favourites, please! Don`t forget to post up some of yours too John. You have given Karen and me some good recipes and tips recently. I think this is a good idea, especially as cooking and catering facilities on boats have moved on from the basic single or double parafin burners from decades ago. Even small hire boats are now fitted with 4 burner oven and grill cookers, and i do love cooking on the boat, ............ but not the washing up afterwards . Hylander
From a convenience point of view, not a recipe but, I have found that this Non Stick Foil is marvellous. As you say the washing up side of things is not enjoyable and if you line , when you can , oven pans with this foil it is just a case of disposing of the foil and the dish should stay clean. Also for lining baking trays. Foil trays are very handy as well. To prevent sugar and flour from going lumpy or worse I use these Ziploc bags , they hold up to a gallon of liquid and are very roomy for storing things in. Just squose (my word) out the air seal and Bobs your Uncle. No creature or damp is going to get in. Will try and come up with a recipe shortly. Chelsea14Ian
Instead of foil try baking parchment it won't stick. To cut down on washing up,use one or two pots.Chicken casserole, onions and carrots diced, lightly colour in a fry pan diced chicken or chicken fillet lightly fry.Season and add mixed herbs, use about one and a half pints of chicken stock reduce in you fry pan whisk in some gravy mix.cook in the oven for about One hour.If you wish buy a dumpling mix available in most shops.Make up , and rolls into small balls place in your casserole and cook for another half hour.Try a rough cut of veggies,Ie carrots leeks new potatoes etc, season and lightly oil and bake for about the last 40 mins of your cooking time. Give it a go Ian

Give it a go Ian I can ensure you all, we never starve, so give Ian's dish a go . Ian is a chef and he does all the cooking at home and on the boat. We have some great dishes when we are on the boat, but mainly on our two weeks holiday will he cook on the boat . Regards Marina

grendel
I am not sure that I could fit a boat in the oven, so there wont be any roast boat and 2 veg recipies from me unfortunately. Grendel
