Travelling down the Waveney to Beccles this morning, Jill at the helm, when bang aloud noise through the hull. That sounds expensive my first thought then a quick look back for a large log!

Just in time to see a rather stunned looking OTTER surface swimming in circles!

It made the bank okay, but now the question is it aspirin or paracetimal for an otter's headache?

Thats a shame, hope it was ok but I'd have thought it would have heard you coming and kept well out of the way! Unless there was a massive pike chasing it and you actually hit the pike and did it a favour

LOL!    Sorry Jill I mean the Otter of course!! I'm sure you (Jill) didn't see it and certainly didn't aim for it!! If you did don't tell my mum as she's a serious otter fan!

I'm also sorry cos it made me giggle to, I had visions of it stumbling up on the bank and saying to Mrs Otter "Those ruddy boats, if they're not starting their engines at some ungodly hour, moaning about the water lapping at their bloody hulls, complaining about the lack of Broadland toilets and not turning this place into a National Park, they're trying to kill the wild life" Sorry, couldn't resist lol

Hit a seal near Breydon bridge a few years ago in a fast rib. No blood and he swam away. Poor thing.
