  1. Do you have a reference, please? (And will it work on an electric hob?)
  2. Here you go, then.. onsale today! https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/thur-9-july/product-detail/ps/p/sandwich-toaster-2/
  3. Car rad fans use quite a few amps. This is one I bought in Norwich last week: http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/USB-Desk-Fan/38-4029 They have one running in the store for you to see; the store is at the top end of St Stephens, opposite Iceland.
  4. As they say, Alan... "And how much is a pint of beer?" Perhaps that brings it into perspective?
  5. Or responding to it with a blast from your "Acme Thunderer"... we've had a noticeable decrease in such calls since we left Mary-Jane's next to our main 'phone! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J_Hudson_%26_Co
  6. They were indeed, Steve! Some scary moments when a cork would unexpectably burst out in an explosion of noise and moisture! We use old Schweppes 1 litre bottles ourselves. (And no comments from you on that, please, John!)
  7. Goedemorgen en welkom aan boord van ons, RS281168! It's nice to have a Dutch Member on board the NBN and we'd like to hear more about you. We hope that you have a great time this Summer with your new boat. Mary-Jane and I had a lovely 3 weeks in Friesland on a Dutch Steel boat 2 years ago. A beautiful cruising area and no locks to go through!
  8. Doug, Hi We've been coming to Brundall the last few Sats and the A47 at Postwick hasn't been too bad. Richard, Hi. I definitely wouldn't go through Norwich on a Saturday! Take the A47, then just past the Postwick roadworks turn left to Gt Plumstead. About 150yds past the church in Gt Plumstead turn right to Little Plumstead. Then straight over the x-roads at the Brick & Kilns and on through Salhouse (you'll just miss The Bell) and on to Wroxham, Stalham or wherever! It's a nice peaceful drive (until Wroxham) and both pubs were worth a visit when we last went that way!
  9. What a lovely read, SwanR! You make it all sound so idyllic and even lazy! :clap
  10. Waveney River Centre without doubt, Steve. The upper Bure to Beccles is a lovely run of about one and a quarter hours and there's little worry about leaving a car there if you moor there overnight. (There's also Geldeston Locks Inn if you can get under the bridge and back OK)
  11. Hear! Hear! Andy........ what a disgusting load of old scrap........... AND you have to remove them within TWO weeks.... "Lost" and "Plot" come to mind.......
  12. A Warm Welcome Aboard from us, Jean!
  13. I swear they get wusser as time goes by, Peter.............. :cry
  14. That's really good news, thanks, Wussername.
  15. Well, Grace, I'd take you up on your offer if you could package it well enough to last... then we could drink with you!
  16. The number of quarter million pound plus gin palaces tied up or for sale at a place nearby where we moor is staggering!
  17. With leccy cables festooned across them and the water, Alan? Heaven forbid!
  18. I've got over 50yards of cable but I doubt it wolud be enough here at times!
  19. You just might get two 40+ft boats in between us and the obtrusiion, Andy.....
  20. There are three new leccy pylons at Norwich Yacht Station, down at the far end just before the security gate. Each pylon has x1 32A socket and x2 16A sockets.... all good news! Unfortunately they are situated close together just inside the security gate. Friday Girl's stern was just forward of the escape ladder by the gate. The posts are only 25 paces apart, say 75ft, so you have 9 sockets in a pretty small length of mooring space... you can see that FG, at 35 ft, already takes up a fair bit of the space.
  21. Grace, sorry, I meant "en-suite cabin" !
  22. Thanks, Grace........... err, we might have a spare bunk.....
