Hi Alan, Thanks for that tip, will give that a try later. The lappy is only 16 months old, has already had the screen replaced, and I am wondering IF it was all reassembled correctly by PC World. Hey ho the joys..... Iain.

Hi Alan, Nope I am on my Laptop. I noticed the emot was not working. Also, after I read a thread its still remaining bold? Is this because of the work you and The Skipper are doing? If I log out and back on it shows cleared and read if that helps you any. Iain.

Now, now Paul, I washed this morning! Am still a hirer too. Having watched in a yard the amazing work they can do in such a short time to damaged craft, and get that hire boat back out and ready for the next hirer, gets my well done award every time! Iain.

The ones fitted in 1978 were installed when techo items like that were in their infancy. They basically did not work! I am all for safety equipement like that, I was was just passing comment, its not a new thing, just upgraded these days, to work now! It was fitted on my hireboat Streamway from Richos. Iain.

Well this auld codger (me) served a five year apprenticeship, I would love to see lots more in all trades, its good to be a tradesperson Iain. -
CO Detects were tried in the late 70's on some hire boats Alan. They were though very tempremental as the alarm went off far too often for no apparent reason. I switched it off! My mum's Corgi was not a happy chappy at all with the racket! Iain.
