  1. I once asked our vet about cat collars. He had one word in reply, ‘Don’t’ It is pretty much the same reasoning that applies to dogs In the field.
  2. That was a lovely write up. Thanks so much Helen!
  3. No don’t think so Ray, Timbo may have frightened some people to death with his though! 🤪
  4. I think we will. As for face coverings, there is some evidence that they also protect the wearer. Check Dr Jon Campbell’s blogs on YouTube for clear, carefully researched info. I think I am up to about 120 masks now for family and friends. I use the Olsen mask pattern which is comfortable and close fitting. I think they will be a feature of life for a long time to come.
  5. We hired Zoe last year and were told to use a boat hook. I made it clear that that was not going to happen!
  6. It is a condition of membership that we have agreed to the TOS. It is really that simple.
  7. For the very few who are not already hooked on the Tally Ho rebuild YouTubes, they are awesome. Leo has lofted the lines for rebuilding his historic yacht on the workshop floor. Several of the videos are devoted to explaining the ‘Maffs’
  8. We just got a gas BBQ, it it a very good buy, I think. Perfect colour for NYX btw
  9. The White Horse at Upton is well organised for meals outside.
  10. Ok now that is too much! Mods please take note that I have been misrepresented on the Forum. Was Timbo told to use a hot wash? He was not. Tepid water would have been fine. Persil Bio? No!! Non biological from Waitrose was the advice, it may be available from less discerning outlets, I believe. No doubt any rash is more likely to have been occasioned by the scuba gear he was wearing, or possibly through , shall we say, poor lifestyle choices. Humph outraged of Tunbridge Wells.
  11. Has anyone got photos and/or information on GYGSC? I am asking for a neighbour who spent happy hours sailing as a kid and would like to recapture any memories there are. He is looking through his own stuff and I have suggested Carol might be interested for Broadland Memories.
  12. Probably, Helen can vouch for the purity of Ynys Mon I feel sure. 😋
  13. I spent some hours yesterday making 10 face masks for family who are/were going to Spain. I imagine now that they will not be needed, given last evening’s Government quarantine announcement. I should have left the job until today. 😋
  14. Um....surrounded by the sea????? Have we been airbrushed out? 😋
  15. Oh, disappointing! We were there on Thursday dropping the dinghy, then at the pub for lunch. It was a flying trip. We are there for the last fortnight in September all being well.
  16. What a great trip! Thanks for sharing your adventures.
  17. From the Spectator A local council in Wales has added140 words to the Welsh language as native speakers struggle to adapt to new terminology coined during the pandemic. The list includes ‘gweithiwr ar seibiant’ (furlough), ‘cwarantin’ (quarantine), and ‘hunanynysu’ (self-isolation). The coronavirus self-employment income support scheme is translated as ‘Y Cynllun Cymorth Incwm i’r Hunangyflogedig drwy gyfnod Coronafeirws’.
  18. Good point on Asthma Finny, I do.
