Yes! My dad was banned from keeping maggots in the house (officially) but managed to spill a pint of them in the coal cellar with resultant plague of bluebottles heading up the steps to the living room...thousands of them. The cellar walls were black with them when we checked. He was deeply unpopular.

I found dad’s maggot tin to be a good place to warm my hands on cold river banks, mum was less keen.

Coins are becoming rarer than knighthoods.

Yes that was my understanding too Chris, bad planning really, but we had had to put back this trip by a fortnight. Timbo, I like hedgehogs very much but as JA says, no clay.

Here we are a-caravanning on Er make that Beside the Broads. The wind over the marshes has been pretty lively but we managed to make the awning habitable for last night’s BBQ with the Chameleon Crew, JA and Ally. Great to see them and to catch up. Winterton and Horsey Wind Pump today were enjoyable visits. With the wind hossing down Upton Dyke and Phill with a bad arm we have not launched Whimp for a sail, we would never get out! The WX continues windy as is a bit Sauddes Law for the time of year so we shall have to see how things go.

Each to their own with attendant plus and minus factors. I worry that people have big hire craft have nightmares mooring up, it must cast a shadow on the holiday.

Well we are here with a Broads ‘Mooring’ near Brilliant. Pm me if you are about for an anti socially distanced cuppa!

We haven’t used it much since lockdown but went through in August. The card renewal then flagged up (correctly) so it all worked for me.

Road safety should be on the duck agenda in Kent. On Weds I carefully overtook a family of ducks having a walk along the lane. On Thursday the same family were having a nice sit down on the same lane with a car patiently waiting for me to go by so that s/he could pull out and pass them. Given that they were numerous and well grown, the frequent and fast traffic on that lane must also be commendably observant.😀 🦆
