Are boatyards allowed to make a profit selling electricity now? I would think even at todays extortionate energy prices one boat would be hard pushed to use £10 of electricity in one night. My guess is £10 is almost 30kw hrs worth!
  4. Whatever they are doing im sure it will be reflected in the price
  5. The thing thats not the best idea is plugging a 16amp cable into a 32amp socket via an adapter…..that is unless its a fused adapter. If a fault occurs your cable could become the fuse. I wasn’t aware using a splitter on the 16amp supply is illegal.
  6. Maybe it was promised a day out in Hopton………🤦‍♂️
  7. I sincerely hope the Rabbit was wearing a life jacket……..
  8. Whats going on at the moment is so blatant its akin to taking candy from a baby.
  9. Might be cheaper to drink Diesel 😬
  10. Thats a massive difference, i wonder how they justify it
  11. If thats not price gouging I don’t know what is!!
  12. I once worked for an organisation that was on a large site with various different buildings. Dilapidated buildings tended to mysteriously catch fire in the night. 4 times it happened, 3 of those times were to the same building in a period of about 70 years. Just prior to 2010 it had again been rebuilt at insurers expense into practically a new facility. coincidence? 😂
  13. Tescos at Gunton only had Premium Unleaded earlier. I think theres enough going on in peoples lives with the way things are presently and any extra unnecessary hassle just adds to peoples burdens. With all the aircraft in the sky and ships moving around the globe using heavy fuel oil blockading fuel depots in the name of the environment will make not one jot of difference to the climate. Some people are just born to be a nuisance to others. For those intent on causing the actual disruption and damage personally I think there needs to be very harsh consequences to them. No negotiation, removals by force and no come backs on any injuries.
  14. That just highlights their utter stupidity!!
  15. I bet most of these folk are massive hypocrites.
  16. It ought to be treated as terrorism and carry a 5 year prison sentence. If it was me I would be using Baton rounds. Obviously things have to change but causing criminal damage and deliberately disrupting peoples lives and livelihoods should not be tolerated period. How are these morons travelling to the fuel depots. They must all be walking or going on horseback
  17. According to the RAC fuel duty is levied on the wholesale cost of fuel, what the retailer pays for it and not what the customer pays to put it in their tank
  18. did you do it whilst the engine was running and hot? If you undo it slowly water ought to be forced out under pressure.
  19. If memory serves it was just a case of undoing it a few turns till water started coming up the threads.
  20. I don't think theres an impeller in the brass coloured housing. I thought the closed circuit water pump was on the front of the engine under a cover like a car? I may be mistaken. The nut on the top of the brass housing is what I used to bleed our Nanni 50hp when I had worked on the cooling circuit. The only thing that gave us trouble with hot water with ours was a dodgy Thermostatic Mixer Valve but that wouldn’t affect engine temp.
  21. As usual the press are talking rubbish then
  22. I wonder if the Pride of Hull has been moved to Rotterdam to allow the Pride of Rotterdam to be put back in to service as the crew on the Dutch registered vessel were unaffected by the hatchet job. Interestingly on the BBC lunch time news headlines the P&O boss has admitted breaking the law.
