  1. So...putting all of the above hints and clues together(about line one) I have deduced that the area in question is Corton near Lowestoft...........( I am so rubbish at these!)
  2. I wouldn't include the press, some of what I saw live broadcast from the PM n co on YouTube last night has been(IMO)distorted to sound sensational! We need a free press but it would be nice if they knew when to wind their necks in a bit.
  3. I don't think it's all that uncommon for boat names and numbers to get mixed up, my parents first cruiser carried the reg number for No2 in her class (and was still registered as such)but Craig listed her as No1 because thats what he saw her named as, he even dug his notes out from '76 to check. So was the boat he saw the same one that my parents owned? We can't really be sure as there were never any numbers or clues on drawers etc that I ever saw.
  4. Looks like Horning Pleasure craft and Richardsons (who I believe were one and the same) had them so I think you remember correctly
  5. Yep that's the one I found too
  6. I think I may have the answer but as I didnt get any of the actual clues myself (nor could I have done - I was just curious to see what was there)I will wait and give those that have a decent chance.
  7. One of her sister ships is currently for sale at NYA https://www.nya.co.uk/boats-for-sale/aquafibre-33-2/
  8. Well, she is an Aquafibre Ruby 33 and I think I can make out the reg number as B90 which according to Craigs Database makes her San Fernando 2(later San Evita 2) from Richardsons. Also according to the database Richos were Blakes untill '83.
  9. *update* the mooring is now available with the boat at additional charge.
  10. Just imagine the swearing on board that Seamaster 23!
  11. That's a Richardsons boat displaying a hoseasons emblem on the front.........
  12. Should the cruiser have emblems on the bows?
  13. Ah yes, I see now, didn't think it was that far along from the bridge
  14. Btw is that Goosander moored behind the Bounty Bathtub?
  15. Ah I know, the mortar spigot has vanished!
  16. The back of what I take to be the height marker board looks a bit strange to me but I can't quite put my finger on it...
  17. The Bridgecraft sign appears to be missing from their shed and I think possibly the door?
  18. I think the other(top) bit of the helter skelter, which is next to the main bit, is missing from the pic.......
  19. Hi MM, they are hoping to retain their mooring for the new boat but if it ends up not being possible I will let you know. As for converting to soft top etc I believe George at LBBY did one semi recently (last couple of years-ish) so may be able to give a ball park figure.
  20. My folks are selling their Ocean 30, see listing for details, they have owned her since 2012 and are selling as they have purchased a larger centre cockpit cruiser. Naturally a donation will be made to forum funds should a sale result. If you have any questions regarding the boat feel free to PM me or go via the listing details thank you. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184201008333 I hope linking to ebay is ok mods, if not please feel free to delete etc.
  21. Crikey, sorry Griff only just caught up with this, that's probably the best piece of luck I have ever had, amazing! Thanks for running the competition and thanks in advance for the donation on my behalf, a worthy cause if ever there was one Cheers! Rob
  22. Hmmm I reckon £314.27(hoping there are a lot of 50p bits in there).
  23. https://www.norfolkboatsales.co.uk/information/heritage-boats.asp. One of these I think MM, same moulding as the AF Opal I believe.
  24. Hi there, the hull certainly looks like a Wind Boats Seacrete one but the superstructure appears to be a later, possibly DIY, version. My folks had a SouthWind 26 for about 15 years so I'm fairly familiar with them but won't claim to be an expert.
  25. Hello and welcome MotorBoater I will echo what Minigem has said about using a 3 mifi dongle for web access, I find it's often the fact a device is so low down near the water that prevents it connecting so being able to position the dongle higher up then wifi-ing to it usually works for me. A long usb lead my be useful too as the batteries in both of mine aren't particularly long lived on a charge. One of my dongles(the older one of the two!) has an external aerial socket which I will be trying out once the boat gets back in the wet stuff. Anyway, enjoy your holiday when it arrives, it will be just as good as you remember
