Hopefully people will notice if any of the boats near them look a bit low in the water :)

A lot of people can't get to their boats at the moment and I was thinking (dangerous I know) that it might help if those of us that are on the Broads offered to check boats local to us. I'll start, I'm in Brundall and happy to go and check any boat in the area for mooring line issues, loose canopies or whatever. Just message me on here or on Facebook (Steve Dowty) Steve

I'm going to admit now that all the people that panic bought* were right. Now there is fu all nothing in the shops, even when they have just opened. We're being told there is enough to go round but I really don't believe it. If there is, where the fu is it? We were at Sainsbury's when it opened this morning, no milk and no bread. *except the idiots that bought 100s of toilet rolls, whats all that about? I posted this on my facebook so I've had ti edit it ;)

Yesterday I took a group of volunteers and staff from St Martins Housing Trust out for the day on Thunder. The shunt for my Victron battery monitor is on the negative (as per the instructions)

Is it one battery for domestic and one for engine start or two batteries in parallel that take care of both functions?

The cynic in me thinks that the answer is tax. It was only a short time ago we were all encouraged to buy diesel cars, now the fad is electric and the tax on diesel will rise. Until the next fad when the tax on electric will rise to encourage us to change.

I think you'll find this happens at most big companies when they are recruiting for an established role. I do agree it is despicable though :(

That was my first thought @Vaughan but the table covers the whole width. With this bit on the table sticks out past the side of the bed.

When we bought Cockatoo, a Freeman 33 Sedan, this wooden section was in the galley. Since then I've been trying to work out what it was for. It looks like an extension for the galley table, the mouldings on the ends are the same as the sides of the table and the size is right but I just can't work out where it goes. Any ideas?

I would guess that the job will go to one of the volunteer rangers. I think we all know that anyone that questions (or even hints) at whether the Broads is a NP has already disqualified themselves.

You can make a small fortune owning pubs. You justr need to start with a large one!
