  1. That's our official height although with full tanks, a couple of people aft and the nav light mast down we could probably scrape 8' (scrape is not a word I like in this context)
  2. Great photos 👍 Looks like a beautiful day! (I didn't realise that Somerleyton wasn't always passable. I've had too many low air draft boats!)
  3. "Thinking about making an offer" "Battery failure" Norfolk Lady knew.... boats have feelings you know 😂

We still have to wait for pictures of your boat???? Some of us are nosey you know! 😂😂😂
  6. The old Pontins site at Hemsby was very unlucky with several outbreaks of fire before planning permission was given for housing.
  7. Just to observe that, as someone who knows nothing about running a business, this morning Herbert Woods is a hive of activity. The staff, who Ive always found helpful and friendly are all over a row of beautiful shiny craft taking aboard bed linen etc. ready for holiday makers. Let's hope the sun keeps shining, they have a wonderful time and return often 👍
  8. This is the 100% most important message to keep in mind on the internet 👍

She's lovely! Wishing her a speedy recovery 👍
  10. A lot of fun to be had with inter service rivalry. My family (not me sadly) were well represented in the RAF, a good friend and also Gill's dad were RN.. well placed insults abound 😁
  11. I had to google uckers.... There is an additional definition to the board game in contemporary slang, those of a sensitive disposition have been warned! 😱
  12. We bought simple/cheap Bluetooth earbuds for our phones from Amazon. Just a free phone call on our joint sim plan and you're good to go. However, we just about always forgot to use them and gave up altogether when we changed boat to something where it was easier for me to hear every expletive. Edit: to add, these were the type with built in mics
  13. Interesting about the pressurised water, thank you. As for the blue hose... I'll have to look where it goes next time as I hadn't actually noticed it!

Barton Broad Chris? Looks like a nice day 👍
  15. I don't think Ive ever known someone with more patience, it looks great 👍
  16. That is sideways so the connections are in that order physically top to bottom.
  17. Just for clarification, a clearer idea of the actual hoses on my calorifier - A. To domestic hot water taps B. To engine water pump housing. (1) C. To engine bleed valve housing (2) D. Cold water in (Fresh water tank then pump then expansion tank) to calorifier.
  18. I'm learning so much here you guys are great 👍 I'm going to see if I can get a bit more detail out of the photo of the Calorifier later to try to compare to the above info.
  19. Got it, that makes good sense. Thank you 👍
  20. In my photo the hose that is numbered 1 goes from the water pump housing to the top of the 2 fittings on the calorifier. The calorifier is lying horizontal but appears to be intended that way as the two engine connections lie one above the other on the right hand side of the tank and the red release valve is at the top middle of the long side.
  21. The engine was running but it hadn't warmed up, next time I'll run for a while first!
  22. The position/fixing is something I'll have to go back and check John. We got to 75 on a recent run of about an hour. This was a simple gentle cruise mostly about 1100 revs. I would imagine but can't say for sure that if we were punching the tide at Yarmouth for example we would go a bit higher.
