All of the boats quoted by OG are on the BCBM website along with loads of other usefull information.There is also Lightningcruiser.com a self managed boat, they have a share for sale as does Ranworth breeze. Other syndicates are, Southern Crusader, Blue Mist and even Broad Ambition,though you will need to own a Teak forest to persuade griff to release a share lol. Good luck. paul

Welcome Pumpmedic, if you click on the handy information at the top of the page it will come up with bridge heights amongst, other headings, if you wish to visit most area`s you will need a low air draft boat as Oldgregg suggested. A good site to visit is horning.org this gives loads of information on boats,designs,boatyards,brokerages and manufacturers. Other websites to give you a good look at possible boats are the boat share site BCBM and the main boat hire companies,Richardsons & Barnesbrinkcraft, who also have good boating guides on their sites. My all time favourite boat is the aquafibre pearl 38 Paul
  14. A good roomy boat in the Richardsons fleet is Classic Gem, hired it a couple of years ago bags of room. I`m eighteen stone and six foot two so it should suit. Good value too with sliding roof, I managed to moor up single handed most of the time, only downside is its a forty footer paul

  19. Ray, have a look on you tube "the tiller people" he has a radiator system connected to the engine via a alde heat exchanger. Its in a playlist" design series" I think its near the end of vlog number 6.its simple and its free engine heat.can be used in a broads type boat. sorry dont know how to link yet. Paul.
  20. Great memories folks, mk4 Zodiacs and Zephrs. Spent my apprenticeship lying sideways in the engine bay doing the 76 modifications required to every car coming out of the factory. But dont forget the wipers on the mk2 consul that ran off the inlet manifold occasionally. paul
