Carried Away By A Moonlight Shadow...
OldBerkshireBoy replied to YnysMon's topic in Holiday Tales & Blogs
I used to do a lot of work in Windsor castle and associated buildings in the area as a vetted background checked engineer to the point where most staff knew me by my first name and I still had to produce photo ID to sign in and be allocated an escort every single time which was a PITA but I looked at it as protection for me should anything ever happen whilst I was there. You can expect a bag check and maybe even a swipe over with a wand. -
Will add photo soon. Have a moulded ring holder, the type which is screwed to say a roof and the ring sits within. Used but in good condition with no cracks around the screw holes. Currently a cream colour but will need painting. Dont really know what to ask for it so open to offers. Collection from Brundall.

Might be too firm for such a lightweight item such as this.

Warnings of huge insurance hikes on every type of policy were given out on various media sites long before any fire with the advice to renew three months in advance. Wasnt it something to do with a big rise in false claims being submitted.

Kate, Talk to Jeff on 07767 385811, he is an independent man in a van and cheaper than Panks for heater repairs. Last I heard he was charging £40 p/hr.

Much greater control of range of temprature and most radiators have a timer.

Oil Filled Electric Radiator
OldBerkshireBoy replied to OldBerkshireBoy's topic in Boats and accessories for Sale
Of course, 1500w on full power and it is H 640mm x W 350mm x Depth 170mm or 25" x 14" x 7" Quite large so produces some heat on the maximum settings. -
DeLonghi radiator with easy to read digital display. Has timer settings so it can be set to come on before you get out of bed in the cold mornngs, an Eco mode and an anti -freeze mode plus safety overheat. Comes with the instruction booklet but no box. I paid around £100 last year, asking for £50, might deliver or collect from Brundall. PM if interested.

I doubt that the owners would agree if they read through the doomsayers comments.

If using poly pipe and push fit connections with inserts then use the pipe manufactures inserts at all times. -
Calorifier Connection

With compression joints the olive is the sealing surface not the threads and no PTFE is needed when the fittings are clean and new, if reusing old fittings that weep then two wraps of tape around the olive can cure any weepage. Copper olives are softer than brass olives and people tend to use them. -
Very high (record high?) at Brundall overnight. Has dropped by around 9" now. (13.00)

Sounds like you want a whole new club Ian.

Only the red dye, unless Vaughan knows better of course.

No worries as OBO is a cousin Mine doesnt boost both types of signal and just to be clear, I didnt buy my box of tricks from that linked site only that the box of tricks and the antenna look the same but it is a minefield out there with clones and copies. On functionality etc, the cables are much longer than required so need hiding which isnt easy as the cables are thick and unwieldy and the pre fitted N type connectors are twice the size of the cable so if running them through bulkheads to the outside you will need split grommets which are not supplied. Other than that just plug in and rotate the antenna for strongest signal.

I brought a booster and the signal bars on the phone went from 0 up to 3 or 4 with it showing 5 bars on the odd day. It wasnt one in the link below but does look exactly the same. RV sites have 12v versions. https://www.docallboosters.com/

As a smoker at the time it was easy to see the decline in the numbers of people going to a pub over time and all the people who said that they would go if the ban was applied never turned up!

Have fond memories of the old Humbers as my mum and dad also ran them for private hire and weddings in the early 70`s. Neighbours must of thought that I was nuts washing cars on a Saturday morning in the rain
