  1. Hi Malcom please could you do one of your 360 drone shots over Brundall I’d love to see how the hobroughs dyke area has changed its over 30 years since I was last moored there thanks
  2. Yes I totally agree the alpha craft designs all of them were ahead of their times with most of them still being built in a modernised format today
  3. I know how that chicken feels after today working in the hot sun !! Im also enjoying your holiday takes thanks
  4. This is not such a holiday tale but an idea for people’s holidays A trip on the bure valley railway that runs from wroxham to the market town of Aylsham the railways is a 15 inch gauge railway that runs for 9 miles through some of Norfolk’s beautiful scenery. the railway is mainly steam hauled with 5 steam engines and one diesel the railway has ordered a electric engine to take over from the diesel. Once on the train in there luxurious enclosed carriages it takes 45 minutes to reach Aylsham there is also a foot path that runs alongside the train so it’s possible to walk one way and return on the train. Aylsham is a gem of a Norfolk town with independent shops and a market on Monday’s some Monday’s keys sale yard also run a market with everything and anything. Below are some pictures
  5. Nice picture of the latest modern boat to be built for the broads next to two classic broads boats
  6. Looks really good you certainly have a eye for a good broads boat !!!
  7. Thanks that’s quite interesting I have often wondered how many boats bridge craft has and other independent yards
  8. I saw you coming under the bridge 2 nd time looked like you had been doing that for years.
  9. Hi Kate thanks for writing your interesting holiday tales. You have been on one of my favourite days out on the Bure Valley Railway which loco pulled you ? We normally go from Aylsham to wroxham and explore wroxham and return makes a change not to drive.
  10. Thanks yes I quite agree with you on that. i enjoy your holiday thred you moor up the dyke from where we used to keep our boat about 30 years ago now Brundall has changed so much in that time
  11. Another boat on the mud where about a on Breydon was that ?
  12. We just tried to drive past the green 24 hr moorings and it’s a joke cars literally everywhere and anywhere !!
  13. Where about is this boat moored ?
  14. Could be a nice boat again with lots of time and money !!!!
  15. I agree totally with everything smoggy has said. Id just say the sea is totally unpredictable just trust it with respect.
  16. A stunning boat !!!! You certainly are a skilled craftsman and crafts women to restore a boat like that
  17. What a beautiful elegant boat good luck with the tow
  18. I think the cost of living is starting to hit home with people just doing the shopping today I noticed 15p rises on lots of items again. The cost of fuel is ridiculous and the government are not doing anything apart from partying !!! I think some business will be in trouble come winter time it’s a shame but this could be another bad hit for the broads as a destination think the good times have definitely gone for now
  19. Roy

    Breydon

What happens to the hirers now. Do they get another boat? Get a refund ? Or have to go home now? Anybody any ideas thanks
  20. Thanks for posting your journey on the broads with walks it’s been most interesting reading . Going back to Salhouse village it’s a lovely village quite a long village if you had carried on the road where the cafe is you would have passed lots of lovely houses/ gardens and the village hall which is the old school where my mum went to school! Beyond that is the pub at the top of the village the bell I always pop in as it’s a charming little pub and my granddad used to cut the bowling green which is sadly not there anymore. Roy
  21. I do feel like the hire boat industry has priced them selves out of the water ( pardon the pun) with the lovely British weather people are going to try to go abroad.
  22. Yes the assembly house it rather good being a local it’s a often visited destination when in Norwich
  23. Shame there was not much of the broads but it was a food show I guess. Must say the pairing of ainslsy and that lady (forgot her name alrady🤣)was good she always comes across as sultry in master chef the program was good fun and for once didn’t make Norfolk people look stupid unlike the Susan calman show.
