  1. Thank goodness that those nasty, noisy 'personal water craft' have never been permitted on the Broads.
  2. Those variations clearly appear to equat to a tidal cycle.
  3. Sadly, Essex has the Romford Navy, Kent has the Catford Navy and on the Broads we have the Brundal Navy! It will probably take a Kirsty MacColl type incident to get anything seriously done though.
  4. It certainly is - somewhere in the world
  5. Social distancing to be reviewed . https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53117853
  6. So contrary to an earlier comment, it wasn't a case of 'ageing batteries' ?
  7. It's not just him JM. It would appear to be the model for PubCos too.
  8. Wroxham (OK, pedants, Hoveton ) above the bridge would be good location, allowing a stretch of picturesque water towards Coltishall, along with good available parking and the all important charging point, without which the Ra can't operate.
  9. Good idea, so long as the masting moorings above the bridge aren't taken up. How will they get it there though. It cerainly won't fit under 'that bridge'.
  10. There's always mud weighting on a Broad...... Oh, sorry, no shore power
  11. The Caravan and Motorhome Club are re opening sites from 4th July. They must have been told something that the rest of us haven't. https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/reopening-our-campsites/
  12. I thought mains installations were only advisory. Has it changed ?
  13. I wonder what Paladin would have to say to THAT !
  14. Really ? That would be an interesting defence were anything to end up in court - Government solicitor " well we can't be expected to read all third party web sites we link to ".
  15. This is a Government web site https://www.gov.uk/government/news/environment-agency-and-angling-trust-welcome-lifting-of-restrictions-on-recreational-fishing In it you will find this "The Angling Trust have issued additional helpful advice to individuals and angling organisations which can be found on thier online hub." The 'on line hub' referred to includes the PDF I posted a little earlier. Seems clear to me - although I have no intention of staying up all night, I like the comfort of my bed too much

  17. Well, there were those who wanted sprouts to be renamed https://theconchnews.com/brussel-sprouts-to-be-renamed-dover-sprouts-after-brexit/
  18. I needed a small quantity of expanding foam to repair a double skin locker lid. I had 3/4 of a can but the nozzle was blocked. I made a hole in the can with a bradawl so I could control the flow. Well, it sort of worked and the locker lid is repaired. All I have to do now is clean the goo off the garage door, car, windows and most of my tool kit. Saved myself £4 quid though!
  19. Three part drama documentary on More4 - Started last night , 1st episode should be available on catch up. https://www.channel4.com/programmes/murder-in-the-car-park There is a local connection - a certain pub manager who was a police sergeant was involved.
  20. And the good doctor was expressing concern for the future of the hire boat industry......
  21. When we were in Morrisons Riverside last week, those were the prices - but the other way round !
