Guest
Right firstly an apology guys n girls As mentioned at the start of the day, yesterday I was feeling miserable, a mix of lack of sleep, recent events and feeling generally yucky led me to return to base and go to sleep, so sorry for being a grumpy numpty. (The name btw was an inside joke, I shall leave it there) I shall update soon. Sorry all

Guest
Tuesday 5th June Arriving in Brundall, car unpacked, dog taken for a quick walk under the cloudy sky and gentle breeze, the Sun was threatening to fight through and a good afternoon was looking promising Once everything was sorted it was time for a quick trip down to a near deserted Cantley and the Reedcutter for a well deserved and much needed pint. After another brisk walk it was off to Reedham Ferry, which was busy in the now bright sunshine, as was the chain ferry with traffic queing either side, before the aforementioned return to Brundall, for a relax on-board with the roof down, sitting in the sunshine until i felt the need to sleep through till stupid o'clock this morning. Guest
Wednesday 6th June After finally waking up in Brundall after my mammoth sleep, coffee beckoned me as we were sitting in the boat enjoying the scenery. It was fairly late for me, usually an early riser, and the dog began to give me the eyes. No not those eyes, she pretty much demanded that we were going for a walk right there, right then. So in the lovely sunshine we had a good walk around Brooms and Brundall. It occurred to me that after yesterday (and the fact I only had a couple of days left) I wasn't all that happy about taking the boat out solo for a reoccurance of yesterday to happen mid river, and to struggle to return the boat safely. Therefore it looks like a car trip around the locality this time until I return in August for mammoth cruises and the rest of the "enthralling" tales I usually "delight" you all with (Yes I know I am driving a car around, but it is much easier to pull over safely in a car than ditch a boat into the nearest back garden, explaining "sorry mate just felt a bit off it, shame about the lawn and all but everyone wants a boat shaped wedge in their pristine garden these days") Anyway, excuses out of the way, the dog satisfied we headed out in the lovely sunshine, and popped into Rockland where we had a walk and a lovely shandy overlooking (kinda) the Staithe which was busy other than the electric moorings. After a snoop around, and a chat to the locals about all things dog related the pooch and I headed off towards Loddon. Parking up in The Swan we enjoyed a coke in the garden, before tiring of a group of men talking nonsense in the corner, so via a visit to the Staithe we headed to The White Horse in Chedgrave (my favourite when the sun is out in the Loddon area) for a pint in the sunshine Note the usual pub tables and benches. The kind everyone is used to and knows so well..... yeah well I fell off the back whilst messing around. I did get a nice piccie from my lower vantage point as I enjoyed the comfortable floor though After a relaxing drink, the mini beast was giving me the eyes again... So we began to make a move heading back to the boat for a bit of PT around the Brundall streets and then catching some rays laid with the roof down, enjoying the sunshine and a glass or two of wine whilst enjoying some wonderful company as always before taking out the beast for a walk and then settling down for the night for another well needed snooze. Thanks everyone
