Wyndham Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 I feel I may be a bit unkind here, but how can you have a Gin festival and mention Bombay Sapphire and London Dry. It's like having a whisky festival with Bells and Teachers. If I were a school teacher I'd give it a C+ must try harder. Quote

Isn't it normal to take your empties home with you to recycle... Quote

Wussername Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Pay attention. Norwich Gin. Awarded the best London Gin in the UK. Wait for it: Awarded the best London Gin in the world. Where from Norwich, Bullard's Brewery. Best with Fever Tree tonic. You will think that an angel has tinkled on your tonsils. Only for most discerning connoisseur. For the rest like giving a cow a strawberry. Andrew 2 Quote
JennyMorgan Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Those of a certain age will remember Simon at Surlingham Ferry, his pink gins were legendary, indeed the tinkling on tonsils was that of virgin's water. 2 Quote

When I first worked for Nat West A different world then. One of the butlers, was a Irishman called Jim.He would give me and the chef a gin in a tonic bottle. We had a lady called helen working with us one year when we was off she said to the head butler jim we didn't get our tonic.
