Fishing Week

Recommended Posts

Just back home from a week on the boat. Spent a lot of time fishing I am no expert but caught plenty of roach, perch and bream on the southern rivers. Most of the roach I caught were covered in black spots to some degree, can anyone tell me what this is ? Thanks

This is commonly known as Black Spot Disease (for obvious reasons) caused by a parasite. Here's a link to wiki with a more detailed description. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_spot_disease_(fish)
