PaulMargaret
Coming to the broads on 6th October for 2weeks I love fishing what is the best bait for the broads. Can I use pellets luncheon meat etc and would it be worth bringing a 1kg of worms with me thanks
grendel
i have no idea, but can guarantee that if you get 20 fishermen answering you will probably get 20 or more answers, all different
Vaughan
Left handed wiggle maggots. Don't buy the ones that wiggle to the right.
rightsaidfred
If your just general fishing then maggot or sweetcorn will catch most of what swims, bread also good, Worm for Bream and Perch keep it simple and enjoy. Fred

MauriceMynah
RIGHT WIGGLES MATTER Let it be known that I object to the Rightist attitude being aimed against Dexter Larva. I for one find this outrageous discrimination against the right wrigglers both offensive and elitist. It will, in future, be one of my sole focusses to tear down any statue, slash any portrait and boycott any retail outlet that has any historic links to the oppression of those demonstrating a preference to wriggle towards the right. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. RIGHT WRIGGLES MATTER.
Guest Jayfire
I'm not rightist. I'm also not leftist. In fact I guess I have to admit to just being an outright wiggleist I hate them all, but at least I hate them all equally
JennyMorgan
A good marsh lobworm takes some beating so rather than bringing worms to the Broads I'd bring a spade! Corn, bread and maggots, both left and right squirmers, are all easy baits and all deliver. Two reds on an eighteen should do the job! grendel
i of course forgot to add the number of silly responses likely too.
JennyMorgan
Paul& Margaret won't go far wrong with my advice, it wasn't totally tongue in cheek! The bit about marshes is sound, especially in the autumn. Marsh verges are good for sloes, ideal with gin! Some excellent mushrooms to be had too. As for those big, juicy worms, great for perch! Malcolm Withell
The wiggle of the maggot depends on whether your flatfish is dextral or sinistral.
