grendel
Quote Boating News - Unfortunately, following serious damage as a result of the recent storms and high tides, we have fully closed our 24 hour moorings at Hardley Cross due to the site being unsafe. The necessary repair work has been added to our maintenance programme and will be undertaken as soon as we are able to do so. This follows a previous closure of a 22m section of the site earlier this year (June 2020) due to safety concerns. Please ensure you have back up mooring options when visiting the area during busy times. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
YnysMon
We noticed a change in the areas that were taped off there toward the end of last week. Previous week there had been just a small area in the middle of the BA section taped off. Last week there were two or three other sections taped off, leaving just small mooring gaps between, so this news doesn’t really surprise me. Hope it’s sorted for next season. It’s a very handy mooring for taking the dog for a run.

Hylander
Now that is not good news. We need all of the moorings. Think this should have been repaired long before it got so bad no one could moor there. These are excellent moorings and a safe haven for many. What do they say a stitch in time saves nine. grendel
the only consolation is that it is coming at the end of the season, though i imagine they were trying to wait until winter to do the maintenance, but the recent conditions have made things worse

Ray
They are very useful moorings, great for the dog and lovely if you get a sunset. So losing them has left me a bit miffed... but hardly cross!
