Bernard
It was closed a couple of weeks ago when we hoped to stop for a pint.
YnysMon
Troubling times for the hospitality industry. Hope they pull through.
Pompeyboy
They will be reopening in the spring so just a temporary closure
Meantime
The Dog Inn at Ludham is closed until Spring, I don't suppose it will be the only one. Best not to speculate on reasons for closure at this point in time. I'd ring ahead if planning to visit any pubs because some are even closing for a few days due to staff isolating, often at short notice. Lets hope Omicron proves to be the start of the end of this virus and we can all get back to normal as soon as possible.
NorfolkNog
We were out in mid December and found most pubs open when they were supposed to be. But I agree, always best to ring ahead. The Maltsters for example not only confirmed that they were open but said they would keep open while we were in. We had a most enjoyable evening. Top marks to them. Ditto New Inn at Horning. The Ship at Reedham was open and not in a hurry to close. The Lion was pretty reliable too but they do like to finish half nine-ish. The Dog is one of our favourites but Lorraine had already told us they would be closed for the winter. Ditto the Shed (thanks CC) But always check and have a Plan B. Nothing worse than being moored after dark near a closed pub with no nearby alternative. Been there, got the T shirt 3
SwanR
The Liberty at Wroxham is also advertising a short closure on their Facebook page. ANNUAL CLOSURE: Monday 3rd of January - Wednesday 19th January. REOPENING: Thursday 20th of January.
andyg
Im currently in the Nelson rd premier inn, in Norwich. They only have one chef tonight and at half four they were advising customers of a delay on food. Apparently they are busy new years eve, bookings have flooded in after no new restrictions were announced. BTW I'm only here because I got a call this morning about a boat I'm interested in is definitely coming to market. I've never been on the river before in December, so another box ticked. Downside not a cheap night in a premier inn and Stella @ £ 4.25 a pint it's an expensive day out lol..who'd go boating.. 3

Me but as we eat and have the odd drink on the boat not a problem, sorry to say no good the pubs relying on us to keep them going. NorfolkNog
Slightly off topic - we always stay in the Premier Inn on Duke Street, much nicer than the Nelson. (IMHO) Stella is cheap in Wetherspoons..... December is a magic time.
Karizma
Southern rivers vey quiet this week (as expected) but great to be out and about. Moored up at Rockland tonight, & New Inn open so a nice pint (or two) of London Pride but no food unfortunately due to staff shortages.
