Often more then one Ambulance  is called out.Then on seen one Ambulance  may only be required.

I sent a message to Dan his the Cox at Hemsby. They can use blue  lights on the water.Just like the RNLI.The issue  clearly  is blue lights on the road.The sooner that's resolved  the better.

Is this an emergency?

It is sometimes difficult to work out if a situation is an emergency or not, and that applies to both the one making the call as well as the call taker.

It's not as straight forwards as "is there danger to life"  as many could disagree on that issue alone (see stand up paddleboard thread as an example).

 

As a time-served lifeboat crewman, I can assure you that “persons in the water” is pretty much as serious as it gets (for clarity, I refer to persons in the water who did not intend to be there)

Yes this happened to me coming back from Oulton Broad,   I could hear the tones going and on a good stretch (no bends and we have a few) I pulled over the car coming the other way did the same , but lupin behind me , been up close to my car all the way decided he was pulling out and not having of it , when the ambulance came flying past and nearly finished him off , his reaction was to pull back in pronto presto and after that calmed down completely and kept his distance.

It always gets me when you pull over to allow an ambulance/fire engine coming up behind you to get past but the car coming the opposite way does the same and stops exactly opposite you and blocks the road.
