Slowing Down Passing Moored Boats

At least they tried but just had no clue in the first place, I recon that's better than the ones that just don't even bother to try.

Just gone the other way, much slower and slowed further on passing us.

Gave them a friendly wave and thumbs up.

We forget how much we've learned in terms of getting throttle amount right and I know I get it wrong sometimes. Some newbies are like the ones you witnessed, full on in forward and reverse and the boat veers all over the place. Others are the opposite, too tentative and they're left wondering why the boat never turns anywhere.

HA ! Seen it all now.  I'm moored at the first set of moorings as you come into Sutton Staithe.  I heard a boat approaching. It throttled down, passed me throttled back up, then down again as it passed the boat moored moored 20 yards away from me, and so on and so on.

What can I say?
