Recommended Posts

yes they do nest in some funny places do'nt they ? lol ,you should ave seen what i saw the other day, some blue tits going into a cat box outside, which was the size of a small kennel, for the fur, luckily for them, we'd had to ave suki put to sleep poor thing, as she'd had 2 seizures & we thought it was for the best, it was almost like they knew that she'd gone , or they could've been dead dickies lol. lori

That's brilliant. We're really disappointed this year, the great tits that nested with us the last 2 years have gone elsewhere, the female roosted in the box since late last year until about 3 weeks ago then hasn't returned although they both still visit the garden. We have a small camera in the box which gave us hours of enjoyment last year.

Hello Trev,

I take it that this first brood fell out of the nest!

Very good pictures by the way.

When we were on the Falkirk Wheel a few weeks ago a pair of pigeons had made a roost in amongst the pumps and hydrolics that control the seal of the top section of the wheel. Very strange to see a beak amonst the machinery.

Regards

Alan
