A close up of the aerial is here: http://www.aerialsandtv.com/onlineaerials.html#Log40
And here's how it looks on Friday Girl:
If you click on the pic you'll see it a bit better. I bought the mast, clamps and aerial socket from Norwich Camping: http://www.norwichcamping.co.uk/
I'll take a pic on Monday when I visit the boat of the attachment and socket.
I completely re-built a Bantam 125 engine with paper gaskets back in '56 when I was 15! (and it worked...).
Best to use thick wrapping paper and I recollect just pressing the part down which gave a nice black oily outline to cut around...
Figures quoted above aren't like any I've come across down South!
If you really need to know ring the Ranger/Marina/GH Harbour Control and they'll give you a much more accurate idea.
If not follow common sense and use springs, then you needn't bother if it's 0.2m or 2m...
Jim others have corresponded directly with AW and received replies which indicate you may use a hosepipe to remove salt from decks and windows if it represents a H&S problem.
Your link above says "No, only mains fed supplies are in scope of the ban". ie you can use river water in a pressure washer
So it's not all doom and gloom!
And if you read their wording carefully it only says "Cleaning a private leisure boat using a hosepipe".
In my mind their further statement "Drawing water, using a hosepipe, for domestic recreational use" does not apply to us filling drinking water tanks...
So it's easy...........Use public showers!
With the impending hosepipe ban I am considering using a dirty water pump to supply river water (non-saline only) to my pressure washer... any comments, please?
Sounds like a good idea, Martin! Hope MD1 makes it as well.
We've decided to take the easy option and just chill over Easter instead of fighting for mooring spaces...
Many thanks, Perry. When Boulters have finished painting and polishing Friday Girl I'll ask them to give her a coat of that!
You'll probably not recognise her next time we're out!
Welcome aboard MD1 from us. We'll be out and about on the North Broads from Monday April 2nd. We fly a pale blue RAF ensign and Friday Girl is easy to spot...
Martin, we'll be moored up at Womach Water over the Easter weekend if you have time to visit for a jar or three! (or anyone else around).
What on earth have I done to upset you, then? I don't need nor want your "satisfaction", James. In fact I am only sorry I ever mentioned it.
Barry, So sorry to hear that, perhaps we'll meet up later in the season for a jar in happier circumstances?
Perry, Hi. Thanks for that info.
Do you know if I can put that sealer directly onto freshly painted International Perfection? Or would I need to polish it first?
