  1. Thanks for that; I'll top up there later this week. And as an aside, I recollect that a nearby yard was charging £1.65 last year.....
  2. Boulters at Horning are also quite cheap (like Goodchilds) and very so compared with some hire-yards. I'll check their price on Tuesday.
  3. I say again............"I'll take a pic on Monday, when I visit the boat, of the attachment and socket."
  4. Just a final reminder about the April 21st Oulton Broad Meet. There's now 13 boats and 37 people coming.... anyone else most welcome!
  5. A close up of the aerial is here: http://www.aerialsandtv.com/onlineaerials.html#Log40 And here's how it looks on Friday Girl: If you click on the pic you'll see it a bit better. I bought the mast, clamps and aerial socket from Norwich Camping: http://www.norwichcamping.co.uk/ I'll take a pic on Monday when I visit the boat of the attachment and socket.
  6. That's the one we have, Frank. It's lasted 2 years now and is still pristine! I drop it down to lie flat on the roof when in transit.
  7. Frank, Hi These are the people for boat aerials... give them a call and talk to the experts! http://www.aerialsandtv.com/atvschoiceofaerials.html
  8. I completely re-built a Bantam 125 engine with paper gaskets back in '56 when I was 15! (and it worked...). Best to use thick wrapping paper and I recollect just pressing the part down which gave a nice black oily outline to cut around...
  9. Figures quoted above aren't like any I've come across down South! If you really need to know ring the Ranger/Marina/GH Harbour Control and they'll give you a much more accurate idea. If not follow common sense and use springs, then you needn't bother if it's 0.2m or 2m...
  10. Not a problem if you used a submersible dirty water pump, Jim.
  11. Jim others have corresponded directly with AW and received replies which indicate you may use a hosepipe to remove salt from decks and windows if it represents a H&S problem. Your link above says "No, only mains fed supplies are in scope of the ban". ie you can use river water in a pressure washer So it's not all doom and gloom!
  12. That's a lot of watering cans to put 100 gallons in, Steve!
  13. And if you read their wording carefully it only says "Cleaning a private leisure boat using a hosepipe". In my mind their further statement "Drawing water, using a hosepipe, for domestic recreational use" does not apply to us filling drinking water tanks... So it's easy...........Use public showers!
  14. Fortunately Lowestoft, and Shotley are not in AW's area... I think...I guess it will hit you Salties harder after a quick blast over Breydon...
  15. Thanks, David... the one I have in mind accepts debris up to 30mm. BTW, what on earth will all you Salties do?
  16. With the impending hosepipe ban I am considering using a dirty water pump to supply river water (non-saline only) to my pressure washer... any comments, please?
  17. You should be able to find a spot at Faircraft Loynes only a minute from the Shed. Or at the Hotel Wroxham and walk across the bridge. Good Luck!
  18. Sounds like a good idea, Martin! Hope MD1 makes it as well. We've decided to take the easy option and just chill over Easter instead of fighting for mooring spaces...
  19. Many thanks, Perry. When Boulters have finished painting and polishing Friday Girl I'll ask them to give her a coat of that! You'll probably not recognise her next time we're out!
  20. Welcome aboard MD1 from us. We'll be out and about on the North Broads from Monday April 2nd. We fly a pale blue RAF ensign and Friday Girl is easy to spot... Martin, we'll be moored up at Womach Water over the Easter weekend if you have time to visit for a jar or three! (or anyone else around).
  21. Blimey indeed, Jonny! I know where I'll be going when we need a wash and polish!
  22. What on earth have I done to upset you, then? I don't need nor want your "satisfaction", James. In fact I am only sorry I ever mentioned it. Barry, So sorry to hear that, perhaps we'll meet up later in the season for a jar in happier circumstances?
  23. Oh dear, James...... I truly and humbly grovel........... I'd honestly forgotten that..... please delete my post if you wish.....
  24. Perry, Hi. Thanks for that info. Do you know if I can put that sealer directly onto freshly painted International Perfection? Or would I need to polish it first?
