  5. Well that is outright extortionate! People take note!
  6. And am I correct that you used the tides to your advantage, Dan? And if you'd topped up at Goodchilds (£1.05/litre) on the way back from Beccles you'd probably have had more!

  15. Obfuscation is the concealment of intended meaning in communication, making communication confusing, intentionally ambiguous, and more difficult to interpret. Sounds like anything you've heard of or read???
  16. Hah! And get a reply which would be a probable masterpiece in the art of obfuscation!
  17. Prior to our present boat, Neil, all our previous ones were sea-going and as such had sea-toilets. I was led to understand that that was still the case with sea-going boats?
  18. Neil, Hi Years ago we fitted a diesel stove; so you don't have to worry about alternative tanks... expensive but good... http://www.kuranda.co.uk/chandlery/wall ... oking.html

  21. Swordfish, HI May I ask what on earth you had been accused of to warrant this?
  22. I know about the AIS maps and here's one for any aeroplane buffs: http://www.flightradar24.com/ This is an interesting website, it shows - in real time - details of planes flying over UK, Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand airspace, providing height, speed, direction together with source and destination information. It seems they update their positions about every 10 seconds. The only condition is that the aircraft must be equipped with ADS-B transponders to participate. The ADS-B system (Automatic Dependant Surveillance-Broadcasts) is the next generation of aircraft tracking technology that is gradually taking over from traditional radar for primary surveillance. The beauty of ADS-B is that both pilots and ATC can see the same radar picture. It appears to be used extensively in Europe but less so in the United States as you will see from the map.
