  7. Errrr not quite JA lol ...close though! It has to be the biggest shower area I have seen on a hire boat. Iain.
  8. Ah Lyns, you should have used instead Eau De Bog Off! Iain.
  9. Hi Ron, Just had a thought, young Alan (Jaws Orca) will give a conducted tour of all the pubs down South Iain.
  10. In a wee book called Broadsmanship, it recommends you always pass astern of yachts AFTER they tack. However, what that book doesn't tell you some yacht skippers just carry on regardless and it becomes a guessing game. I do not wish this thread to become a Sailies v Stinkies, please. Its been done to death as they say. If we all use a wee bit of the grey matter, I am sure we can all get on boating without friction. Can't we? Iain
  11. Hi Alan, Its amazing what you can do with these Vitamin A B C and D Tablets Iain.
  12. Horning.....Sunday mornings....nuff said! Iain.
  13. Can see what you are saying Mark, but sadly two wrongs don't make it right. Iain.
  14. Hi Ron, I had noticed you had been posted missing, however I am delighted to read you will be back on the Broads later this year on a class of boat I have hired before, I had Majorca 2. a few years back. If Number one is anything like the same set up you can hold a party in the shower room, its huge! Enjoy! Iain.
  15. Lock those idiots up and throw away the key....AFTER Alpha have been paid that is! They put people in prison who have been drunk on holiday flights, so why not that shower of numpties! Iain
  16. If that is the one with the duck race, then its a very entertaining day indeed. In the days of the Loaves and Fishes pub being there, a brill Jazz Band was on in the evening. Happy days . Iain.
  17. Hi Lesley. Welcome aboard to the NBN friendly Forum If you are a hirer, you should be able to use the refuse bins at Herbert Woods when up at Potter Heigham. I know they do have them there, as we used them in May. Hope that helps. Iain.
  18. Virgin have bought out our local Broadband supplier, and we are being inundated with leaflets, mail and salesmen at the door. The salesman was given short shift though He was told where to go! It wasn't Virgin Broadband!!! Iain
  19. Hi Neil, Herbert Woods deffo do as does Faircraft Loynes and Richardsons and its their craft I have seen going through. I agree completely that stopping at 5.30p in high season does limit cruising time. Iain
  20. The past week or so the water level has been a good 7ft6" Which equates to nearer 7ft9" I would guess. What some of these skippers may not realise, the return trip is not as easy as going UP river, and the level may well be less on their return. Iain
  21. I am sure many of us watch the Web Cam at Barnes Brinkcraft, and particulary at the Bridge itself. Today and other days this week, I have seen several hire craft go through not stopping to use the Pilot. Is it the £12 fee that Richos charge is causing this, or are they just ignoring the information given in the Skippers Manuals etc. I personally miss taking the boat through the bridge, but I accept the rules are there to be observed. Iain.
  22. If it had been removed, which I don't think it has, we show at the bottom who edited it out. Hope that helps . Iain.
