  1. Eric, Just checked, aye wife is here, thought for one minute she'd sneeked aboard with your crew!. THAT is precisely what SWMBO does to her healthy salads! Must be a womans thing! Iain.
  2. Hi Mike, I do know in years past, every hire boat Alpha builds are for sale from day one or very close to it. We had Rapide in 1982, it was sold around 1989. Perhaps a member knows more than myself regarding boat sales there? Iain
  3. They look similar to what is being installed in todays modern static caravans JM, and very nice they look too. But, will they pass BSS for boating? I am asking as I have not a clue if its a yes or not. My mates brand new caravan/lodge has one that is remote controlled! Iain.
  4. Hi Eric, Glad you arrived back home safely. I agree with you regarding Enterprise, always found them good to deal with. The Swan was slow to serve us, the last time we were there. Its nice to have the extra toys (bow n stern) on board, I am looking forward to using both also on Broadway, totaly against my principles, but hey, a bit of luxury is nice now and again. The next trip, maybe best to acclimatise up here first Keep the blog coming. Iain

  12. Thank you Simon, very kind of you, I will graciously turn the offer of the award down though, JUST incase it rains! Iain
  13. Hi Barry, A piece of history then, nice one Barry. My wife has been on the ship with a school party many years ago, she informed me being 6ft tall, is awkward for the back n head. Its a hard hat boat to inspect it below decks properly, I believe. I have done the ducking and diving on HMS Victory, and my old back complained later! lol I love to see these ships preserved for all to see, not forgetting your own lovely craft I may add. Iain.
  14. Thank you Mrs McVittie - sorry I held off that reply for 24 hours, coudn't resist! - Nice to know you are well underway, and no chance of rain. Well you bought umbrellas did you not? Never rains after purchasing them on holiday. Good to read the offer of NBD for anyone not feeling brave enough to go through Ludham bridge, it can get in high season, very busy there, with crosswinds more so! Have a nice trip south and look forward to your next Biscuiteer update. Iain.
