The water? or the rowing? Maybe 40 years ago, deffo not now. My knees are complaining at the thought of it!
Great idea though JM, for the likes of Griff and Robin and young Alan and all the other young ones.
Iain.
Well VC all of that looks interesting to me as a retired tradesman. All I require now, is to win the lottery, then I could put to good use (if required) the items shown.
I am sure it will be useful to somebody on here or elsewhere. Thank you for the link.
Iain.
As one who hired from Summercraft I could not agree more Neil. They all handled a dream, apart from Grovener Girl she had a tupperware hull and was hard work keeping it straight in windy conditions. She was wooden topped though from memory.

Hi Geoff,
Now that I have put my brain in gear (it does happen you lot) if you are moored at the Linlithgow basin area, its no distance to the station, and you can get a train into Edinburgh, takes about 15 mins or so. The tour bus is just outside the station on the bridge, or was the last time I was there lol
Iain.
Frank,
You will defeat the problems, and when your sitting out some nice evening with your tipple preference, you will just look round and say to yourself,....beat you ya b*****r!!! I felt I had to tone the language down , but I am sure you get my gist of things lol
I know of a couple of lads who will be boat building unemployed soon if you need extra pairs of hands....that right young Alan?
Iain.
Aye Frank get the picys oan or we will go aff thread here Only kidding, I thought you had flew off to sunnier places, like Southwold to sample the ales brewed there! I bet you will have it all done in time for the Easter weekend?
Iain.
Hi JM,
I can confirm his openess, JH phoned me at home regarding a problem I had had at a boatyard when taking over a boat. A true gent IMHO, and very witty too!
Iain.

I had to rough it with a ribeye steak from Sainsburys
Iain.
Hi Jon,
Sorry to read you are a bit no weel. Get the glucouseamine tabs into ya for the old muscle pains, I swear by em, as I am now paying for all my years playing sport and my trade. If all else fails a couple of nice drams shud be taken it may not cure, but sure will give you a cozy glow!
Iain

One other suggestion would be, and many miss, is take a bus or train into Stirling and go and see Stirling Castle. Well worth a visit IMHO.
