  2. Its called errrr progress Tim, I can understand your thoughts though, coming from a backwater part of England Seriously, Grace is here on the NBN not at Rio and these "modern" gymnasts do perform dangerous routines. I just cant see you performing on the Isometric bars ! more likely the local bar. Its the speed of the swimmers these days, the commentators haven't time to say words like butterfly! Iain
  3. Quanah? Best I can come up with in Gaelic Iain
  4. Quadira? As you are from the far north TheQ, I am thinking a Gaelic name. Oops, what about Qayshaun, that other one is female!

Seriously I did not know about the limited TV you are allowed back in Riyadh, but can understand the joy of the hearty Scottish style breakfasts, a rare treat for you all. Know doubt plans will be afoot for you next trip to Norfolk. Iain

  15. Hi VC, Yes you can still purchase Ayrshire Middle bacon. Its lightly cured and for a while was available in Morrisons. Sadly the way its cured these days, it lacks taste IMO. Iain
  16. A possible example of Eric's hearty breakfast !
  17. Aye Tim, they don't make a car like that anymore ! probably just as well !
  18. Thank you TheQ for a report. I often wonder just how many electricians or engineers have been involved in Model Railways. So many things you can do or not as the case may bewith model making. I had the pleasure of going to the Peco factory at Beer Heights. A VERY steep car park next to it, and amazingly they had one of the Pullman Coaches there, how they managed that up the steep gradient god only knows! Iain

  22. Well sort of off topic, but, when I worked for a firm of which I was foreman, my lunch half hour was suppose to be 12 noon till 12.30pm, however, manys a time the phone rang in the office and I was called out during my lunch to an "emergency" As has been said, its not rocket science, and the "lunch hour " should not be set in stone ! Back to a phrase I use quite often....Common Sense! Now where was I, ah yes my lunch ! Iain
  23. In Norfolk time that could easily be converted into four hours five minutes !
  24. Come on grendel, you didny expect a Scot not to know such things were available !
