Off topic, but, if all hire craft were fitted again with that unit, IMHO it would put an end to running engines first thing in the morning to produce hot water! Happy memories of Astons they were.

May I remind you, that this is a family forum, and violence is not permitted however, a dunt on the head with a hammer is permitted as it looks technical !

I may be wrong here, has been known, but, before you pass through the bridge from the New Cut or from Berney Mill, there is a sign, a good sized sign, warning you of strong tides ahead. Or am I thinking of somewhere else?

I worked in many farms in Ayrshire, trust me, when at the top of an extension ladder, the niff was well a niff! I also rewired Ayr Cattle Market, and on a warm day, the ammonia smell was overpowering, so much so, one of the apprentices keeled over with the pong.
Is it the way forward hmmm or is it an article meant for April 1st?

To any new Broads holidaymaker, Reedham must be treated with utmost care, please moor against the tide there, it makes it so much easier.
Poppy, you were reading my mind, I have sat watching the poor old Ranger trying to convey to a boat to go up and turn, or go back through the bridge and come back facing the ebb tide.

I have moored once outside The Ship, not easy getting back out even puting the bow into the tide. Also there is a fair old drop on the tide there, getting back on board can prove awkward to say the least!
I hope no lasting injuries to their holiday. The signs are big enough telling you what to do, witb regarding turning.

I nearly missed the start of a ODI at Durham/Chester Le Street because of slow traffic on the A68. Lesson learned went A66 and back up the A1 to the Cricket ground the next time.
The A68 is great from Hexham to Newcastle but with cleverly hidden speed cameras!

Don't blame me ....blame SWMBO she said he was called The Hoff!
