  2. The Swan inn at Stalham we have always found to be great value good old fashioned pub grub, well presented and piping hot! Oh yes and the beer not bad either! Iain
  3. Watneys Red Barrell was pretty grim stuff, The Swan Inn, Horning, sold it in the early 70's. For really awful beer, Merseyside in the 60's took some beating! Threfalls think it was called. My cousins called it something else! Iain
  4. Gorgeous day up here, sun wise, but, positively Baltic outside!
  5. I met and played with future Test players, Tv stars, and many Pro golfers. I did have the odd visit to A&E to get my left ankle strapped up, but was fortunate that my mum was a nurse, so she carried out most of the running repairs! Iain
  6. Hi Jill, Loch Lomond has many sailys on it. It can get quite lumpy on the water there though, all 26 miles of it! That pic is from the top of Ben Lomond. Iain
  7. Lovely write up Alison. Look forward to the remainder soon ! Iain
  8. Hi Roy, I don't think you will be disappointed at the New Inn, the food and staff were excellent last May, when Mark the owner kindly helped me up the decking into the pub after that accident I had onboard. He also saw me back down to the boat later. Was much appreciated. Iain
  9. Here is another real national park !
  10. Agreed, but, I would do it all over again, given the chance. I met some amazing people when I did play sport. Iain
  11. Hi Mark and Tia, Welcone to the NBN Forum. I remember your boat very well from its days with Topcraft. "Princess Royal" in those days I believe? Iain

  21. Must be the louder whistle of the winds on the North Broads JM that have affected Polly's hearing.
  22. I have done the hill, both ways, when my old legs went left right etc. We were only there for the day on a coach trip, the coach park was at the top! We were going to go into the Cathedral, but, I do not believe you should charge to enter a house of worship, so just admired the Rose Window from outside! What I found interesting in the prog was the old pennies jammed into the oak beams, by the bomber crews. Also the 6ft4" bomb aimer fitting into a 5ft space! Iain
