  5. JM I still believe that the electrifying of the line to Norfolk from London, and shortening the commuter travel time, had an effect on property prices. Iain
  6. Nah, we would require the banqueting suit at Carrow Road , with "let's be having ya Delia Smith" doing the purvey! Iain
  7. In the next few weeks up here and across the globe my dialect will be heard at Burns Suppers. There are speakers booked years in advance so they can listen to the words of Robert Burns in an Ayrshire dialect. Brave folks they are, as broad Ayrshire even I, as a "Honest Man" townie can struggle when one worked out in the farms. Where I live now, we are receiving many interloppers from Glasgow and such places! Iain
  8. Can we please separate the TWO main styles of scooter namely my model the 4mph that dismantles into four parts and the 8mph model which can be used on the road IF it passes all the relevant rules and regulations. My model is purely an aid to getting out and about, and is NOT for road use. It does have a headlight of sorts and a peep of a horn. So please there are two main model styles, with different applications. Iain
  9. HI Monica, Living on the coast has its good points, our soil is very sandy indeed. However there is some localised patchy flooding, but thankfully nothing like over on the east side of Scotland. Iain

  21. Thanks for that Alan. With the legal limit only 50mgs up here, 0%beers are selling well, with the range expanding all the time. Looks like the Norfolk polis are in need of funds! However, the law is the law, sometimes, when it suits them! With the amount of water about just now, SCOOT is only seeing Sainsbury's and Alldi, even that has been curtailed. So I must check to see if that law would stand up in a Scottish Court! I wasn't about in 1800!!! Iain
  22. I hope the plastic card is working OK to pay for that cuisine! Iain
  23. Yes JM! In the local Spar Grocers Iain
