Hi, and welcome to the forum, i think we did see you over the weekend, we arrived at surlingham ferry ph, at around 4 ish, good friday to sun morning, boat looks good, just really need to polish mine not been touched this spring yet!! or all winter!

He waved at us too.......we waved back! there was some fairly big wavelets on the rivers ,we couldn,t see or tell what Brayden was like Yarmouth end ,only using berny arms to burgh castle bit in which the wind was heading to yarmouth,saw some crabbing hire boats today at st olaves, and some desperate manouvers yesturday of hirers trying to get of "lee shore" moorings.... A nice weekend all the same ,main challange the wind! followed by a glow plug timed relay failure, which meant using the good engine to warm the other, which took about an hour of running down the river before it would start!

it's a hard life!!!

We are currently hiding from the wind .......... It's not all gloom though we are at the ferry house!!

A sad update of the the blog , the new crew member from the post above and some of you met at the Beccles meet has sadly passed away today, a great dog who will be sadly missed..............here he is in happier times with his lifetime mate Connie, thanks Braken for the ten years we had with you............

At 4 years old, and well used i think you,ll have to bite the bullet and have a whip around all the owners and buy new, hard i know for someone from gods county ? hay ho, a bill split 4or 5 ways won,t be toooo bad. Temperature can play a big part in old batteries, you may find you can get another season out of them but my domestic battery only lasts max 2 seasons, then shows all of the symptoms you discribe, an amp meter will answer what load is on them....good luck! At 11 6 inches you will need a spring tide and arrive at LOW water not slack water,at the yarmouth bridges, on the bure we have got a 11ft air draft boat though on springs a number of times with a foot to spare, miss low by as little as an hour you,ll be stuffed, you,ll have to book yarmouth bridges (harbour),as said. Vessels wishing to arrange for, change or cancel a lift for the Haven or Breydon Bridges should, whenever possible, contact the Port’s Operations Office the previous working day (Monday to Friday) prior to 16:45 on +44 (0)1493 335 522. Breydon Bridge will be lifted in conjunction with the Haven Bridge but a Breydon Bridge lift can be booked in isolation using the same contact details.
