  1. I will send an email Saturday AM providing linky thing to people who have sent me a pm.
  2. Ah that is a disappointment, enjoy your family Zoom though😊
  3. Why should we miss all the elements of a get together? To that end, I am sorting a short Zoom for us on Saturday from 8pm to 8.45pm. This is open to all members. We will be able to see each other and chat. if you would like to turn up, please pm me your email address and I will send you the link we will use. Boating headgear is a desirable ‘dress code’ ;you may provide yourself with ‘suitable liquid refreshment ’ and a boating tale to share. If you sail with crew they may, of course share your screen. See you Saturday!
  4. I admit my comment was tongue in cheek. Yes I agree with all of the above. We seriously considered buying one ourselves. in fact we went to look at one on Windermere; the sales guy was not about to start with and we went aboard for a look. Having done so we were back on the jetty when he came along and invited us to step aboard. ’It’s a really stable little boat,’ he said. ’It is while you are standing there holding the mast,’ I replied. He was wholly unblushing. Corribees are indeed lovely little boats, the lines are very pretty and they are buoyant. Single handed, I would have bought one, but for two? No. That little boat was like a rocking horse on the mooring, responding to every movement. With two aboard, you were in danger of being tipped over because the other person shifted balance. It was a bit like that moving platform thing at the end of ‘Grease’. We had already decided not to buy it before he appeared.
  5. Anyone mad enough to sail a Corribee around the a Western Isles has to be interesting to read! Thanks Chris just following up on the book.
  6. Someone just played The Last Post on a bugle. It echoed over the gardens....
  7. My Flags are up too. We were lucky that our parents came through. I am guessing that Phill’s dad was in Berlin on the first VE Day as a member of Montgomery’s Staff.
  8. Well yes and no. If the oxygen % is reported and treated fast it is likely to have a better outcome. It couldn’t be easier to clip an oximeter on a finger for less than a minute and get a reading.
  9. I think we may be about to find out!
  10. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/20/opinion/coronavirus-testing-pneumonia.html Oh sorry! This link will get you to the relevant article on early diagnosis of Covid19 induced pneumonia.
  11. https://apple.news/APQg764FuTfG5z1Im31TuWQ Oximeters are fairly cheap and give you vital information if you have to call 111; information which could save your life. Cheap at £30 or less.

  14. And your own bread is a treat too.
  15. I have kept busy in between Zoom Homeschool with No1 Grandson and loafing about in the garden.
  16. Waitrose click and collect was super-sorted. We drove to a designated place in the car park, and opened the boot. There was a number to ring to say we were there, then a partner brought out the shopping, put it into the boot, closed it and waved goodbye. No butler or silver salver though Steve.
  17. Poppy reminded me of a loaf made from a kit by Grandma, who was an ace cook and had made many a loaf in the past. It wouldn’t cut, and when I dropped it on the concrete outside it broke...that is to say, the concrete broke.😳
  18. Happy Easter to you and yours on this very strange Easter Day. Easter is a symbol of hope after darkness and loss. All the best to everyone, enjoy the sunshine.
  19. I am fed up of my Family Fortunes Don’t Dine with Me Still Staying In Supermarket Empty ShelvesDash I got these from the Radio 4 Coro avirus Podcast
