  1. That would be awesome, thx
  2. Two unsuccessful seasons of going into the draw for tickets - alongside 5m other applicants left me deciding not to try this year.
  3. Yes, there is pain in the eyes in the famous chair photo.
  4. I enjoyed the blog Tim, and I'd be interested to know what my current Chanel (Chance) is blended from.
  5. I have just rerun the dances from tonight's quarter final. There were some sparkling moments,, truly memorable indeed, but Debbie and Giovanni dancing to "Memories" from 'Cats' was a thing of beauty.

    My Day

    I bet that surprised him!
  7. Welcome Riverbank, good choice of boat and a peaceful sailing area too.
  8. Confession time, nice tidy sewing room, bombsite office!
  9. Sue I am rubbish at knitting! I did duty granny knitting when No1 grandson was on the way, even as a baby he wouldn't wear any of the things I made.
  10. I do also have a shed, strictly writing and office work, so I don't think that counts as hobby space; though if I did what I keep intending to do, it would be the self-funding writing shed as originally intended, when I named it the Roald Dahl Memorial Shed?
  11. Looks like a serious bit of quilting going on there
  12. I'd like to be a tree, preferably a silver birch, in an area of outstanding beauty, and away from the dog walking circuit.
  13. He could claim a bad case of Bateau Manqué Disease, as in I am missing the boat and hoping HR dept don't speak French
  14. The last couple of weeks' projects included a shepherd costume with secret car pockets and a Paddington hat with fabric marmalade sandwich for number 1 grandson, (pictured); and the evening dress I went out in last night, (not pictured). Next week it's curtains for daughter's house and some Christmas presents.
  15. The sheet of marine ply is an extra large surface that goes on top of the treadle machine so that I can use two sewing machines at the same time, say overlocker and embroidery. Although not strictly needed, I have asked Santa for a dress form which will have to stand in the corner.
  16. Hmmm do the ladies have similar workshops? This is mine, it doubles as a spare room, and those are two of Brilliant's mattresses standing up against the wall. There is an overlocking machine under the checked cover. It's sitting on my grandma's treadle machine. I have two other sewing machines on the shelves and the banker boxes are full of sewing items; threads, interfacing, stabilisers, fastenings etc. There is a three drawer chest and a tray unit under the shelves with fabrics, and that is it. All I need is in that space.
  17. We have struggled to preserve the loo as an 'original feature' but it wouldn't take a huge amount to change the policy!
  18. Nooo yer larch is stacked up waiting it's turn once Doug has finished on his oak bending marathon. She is going to be so much stronger with all the new ribs and one frame replacement. The larch is in great lengths so there will be fewer joins and they can be placed where they are wanted. Also, goodbye to the deal that was bedevilling her long term wellbeing. But I can't find the toilet either.........
  19. Mind you, I don't know where the bunks have gone!
  20. Doug is being a wonder worker on Brilliant....here is the evidence....
  21. All the best, be thinking of you.
