  1. Thaks, I like what richardson's have done with the hemsby site. My grandchildren really enjoy staying here. If fact we will be visiting in two weeks time. I do like the look of what's on offer I migh look into it a bit deeper.
  2. Now I would definitely be interested in finding out more about hemsby. Would you have anymore information please Dan or point me in the right direction.
  3. I didn't know NYA hired cruisers, you learn something new everyday I guess. I like the look of money penny. But wow at 3.5k for a week in high season il give that a miss, Nice looking boats though.
  4. Firstly enjoy yourself, to me that sounds like a very busy itinerary. Pushing that far down south on a short break will make for some long days. But hey if that what floats your boat, go for it. Just don't expect to much of your fuel deposit back.
  5. Grendel, suuuuch don't give too much away.
  6. The southern rivers have a lot to offer, Beccles has to be the jewel in the crown,a great place to have a walk around, nice place for an overnight stay, the locks just a little further on. Reedham ferry is always a good stop off. I could watch that ferry go back and forth all day long with a cold pint. Loddon is a must the chet is a challenge at times but adds to the fun. Not to keen on Brundall but a good overnight base for a visit to Norwich. Lowestoft if you want a bit of seaside fun and an icream 😉😉. I enjoy a walk round Burgh Castle and the fisherman's is a fantastic spot for a pint on a lovely sunny day. What more could you want.
  7. Water bikes, Wroxham on a busy Saturday what could possibly go wrong lol.... As for spending 25 quid an hour in a pub, Wow you guys aren't a cheap night out.. 🤷‍♂️
  8. Just emptied ours seeing as we don't use cash anymore. 213.50 is my guess
  9. Got mine ordered, me thinks they might sell a fair few of these. Hope you haven't under estimated demand clive 😏
  10. I like these boats, purely for the room they offer inside. I never feel cramped on board them. I know concerto has the forward well, but supreme and concerto were cracking refits of this type. Not so keen on ones that have the engines mounted in the galley or under a bunk.. I'd deffo think about one if I was looking, sadly I'm too lazy to do all the exterior cleaning etc etc.
  11. Is that one of your old boats clive? Very similar style galley, upholstery you used on richardson's Refits. Dont like the canopy over the rear well. But a very good starter boat if you like the design. Always find it funny that the brokers can't never give you a exact build date for a lot of the old hire boats.
  12. We use to go to Macdonalds every sat for dinner when our kids were younger. It would be the only fast food we'd have all week and a treat. My wife was very strict with the children's diets back then. As we've got older we find we can't eat the stuff anymore our digestive systems can't cope with it. Our grandchildren are a different matter tho, they love the stuff and often persuade me to sneak off and have one while nans not about lol.. I do like their coffee and the odd Mc flurry it has to be said. But if ever I'm in Cromer the crab will always get my vote over a box of nuggets, don't think the kidds would agree tho.

    Wroxham Bridge

    Excellent, thanks very much.
  14. I plan on using my picnic boat booking from last year on the 5th of May. Its been a while since I've looked at a tide table, by reckoning low tide at Wroxham Bridge is approx 2.30 pm on that day. Would I correct with that assumption.. Many thanks
  15. I've just noticed on fb the ferry inn is under new management, has changed hands again. Or more likely I'm I a bit behind the times 🤷‍♂️
  16. Aren't barnes hiring some of their cruisers as picnic boats till mid April. That's probably what you've seen.
  17. As predictable as city winning the prem league. Off to watch some paint dry... Yawn..
  18. Indeed, all very frustrating but sadly all to predictable as they now move into the younger age groups. No vaccine was wasted which is a bonus. It still ended up being a record day in terms of ppl vaccinated. They are set for another record breaking day today. 👍
  19. My wife's hub have had 42 no shows today, 30 substitutes found by local GP. They are now out in the town Square trying to find 12 candidates.
  20. Sorry if this is boring, my wife just txt me to say they have 987 ppl booked in for their jab today. The numbers are going up weekly and the teams have really become super efficient at processing ppl through the hub. One thing to note, they get around 20 to 30 no shows each day which I find a bit bizzare. So come 3pm frantic phone calls go out to GP surgery's to find replacements, they have even taken ppl off the Street somedays in an attempt not to waste a single dose. All power to the thousands of NHS Staff, military personal and of course the wonderful volunteers across the UK that are working so hard to make this happen.
  21. Well of course it depends on supply, but they seem confident they can do it,fingers crossed, we also have another vaccine coming online next month. I think I'm right in saying the production facility is in Hull and the NHS is lead customer so hopefully that will help.
  22. My wife's 2nd jab has been pushed back a week, supply problem's of the pfizer vaccine was the reason given. She has been working at our local hub these last few weeks as medical support staff. They haven't had any supply of the pfizer vaccine for some time now on the days she's been on duty. It's all been the AZ vaccine. That said they seem to have plenty of the AZ vaccine, last Saturday they vaccinated just over 800 ppl. She was told by her boss, we are ahead of schedule in our area and they hope to complete the programme by mid June here. So good news indeed.
  23. Like I said ppl of a certain age that may be confined to their homes or have limited mobility could be exempt. As for identification even a council tax bill is excepted in many cases now days.
  24. Granted there would be many who don't own a smart phone, an option for those ppl could be some kind of smart card issued at a post office or such like. Its definitely doable and may exempt ppl over a certain age.
