Anyone traveling along the A47 to the Broads in the next couple of weeks . See the message below from the EDP . A third weekend of road closures at Postwick is planned from Friday, May 8 to Monday, May 11 to complete the bridge work. Norfolk County Council bosses have reserved a fourth weekend for possible road closures in case work overruns and extra time is needed. This is from Friday, May 15 to Monday, May 18. Regards Marina

Hello All, I have just sent Alan 32 photo of Orca launch yesterday and cruising today . I hope he will put them on line for you all to see and for you Grace . Hello Lastdraft, we also love Norwich, but the trouble is, I always spend too much money shopping. As for mooring at the Yacht Station. Well we do try to give Friday and Saturday nights a miss for mooring over night . Norwich is a great city and for us, we still have a lot of places to visit and give the shops amiss . The other year, with our other boat, we went under Bishop's Bridge and cruised to the far end. It was so good. Regards Marina

Early July Ian and I are spending a long weekend in Cornwall and we will be staying in a hotel, but I am still looking as to when we can still get up onto the boat for July. There is no way I / we are going to miss time on the boat during the season . June has been booked for the weekend of the 5th . Regards Marina

I find I wear deck shoes, as I feel safe getting on and off the boat for mooring and then sitting around on the boat a pair of slippers. All of which I keep on the boat. Then I have a normal pair of foot wear for every day usage ( no flash foot wear). At some time in the past someone had walked in heels on our fly bridge, so we will have to get that sorted . What I love is to walk into a pub or restaurant and get a friendly as if we were one of their regular customers ( which in some places we are) and to be called by our names / surnames . Me walking into a pub down here no way . Regards Marina

Why is it so Special? Well a week on Friday my drive up to Norfolk will be a different drive, because this time after 6 seasons / years of driving to Brundall, I will be driving to Loddon / Chedgrave and doing my shopping in Beccles. The A 143 the Great Yarmouth road has many memories for us as a family . When Alan (JawsOrca) and his sister were younger, we had horse drawn caravan holidays in and around Norfolk and Suffolk. A little different from boating and cruising the Broad. How little did we know then how we, well most of us would return to the area and feel how much love it gives us . It is not only the places, but also the people . Roll on a week Friday and cruising on Saturday down to meet up with Alan and Dave . Regards Marina
