  1. Hi Steve, you look good well done and enjoy shopping for your new wardrobe . Regards Marina
  2. Hi, if you are interested the Indian Resturant ( Tamarind ) in Blofield Heath is petty good, but it is best to book. Regards Marina
  3. While we were at Brooms this morning filling up with fuel and a pumpout, Ian said he paid £1:04 per litre for diesel. I asked regarding what the opening times would be after October and for the winter. The young man said Brooms have not told the guys, but he said the times look to change after the clocks go back. So it could be closed on Sunday's and Saturday's only if there are customers till possible 4 o'clock, but if no customers then it could be closing around lunch time. So anyone who could be out on the river after October, give Brooms a call checking on opening times. Regards Marina
  4. Hi Steve and Debs, so sorry to hear that you are selling Lady P. Is there or will there be Lady P2? All the best to you both. Regards Marina
  5. Hello Trev, the name Giddy Kipper is a name to smile at and I must say I can not remember seeing your boat out on the river, but as we are moored south river we can only get up on north river in September on our 2 weeks hols. Thanks for sharing your Giddy Kipper names with us and we will keep an eye out for you next season. Regards Marina
  6. I had done my gliding lesson at the same place of Kent Gliding, 2 years ago and it was a great experience. My little legs made it hard to get in and out of the glider and even Ian (Chelsea14Ian) has long legs and it was fun for him. It is fun and I would recommend to give it a go . Regards Marina
  7. Hello Grace, I must say I did not know he was taking the picture, but yes I was Lady of the Manor and it was feeling great . Regards Marina
  8. Hello Trev, yes I am mum (Alan JawOrca) and hubby is the message above. Oh yes, our Alpha 29 "Sweet Kingfisher" is our girl and we love her . She has a great guy who looks after her from her engine to other parts of her body, because being ex hire and ex French canals she needed some serious work done on her . During our hols earlier this month we met another AC29 owners, who are only moored down the river, so now we are friends of Northern Lass. We are moored at Cove Marina Brundall. Not sure if I am blind, but what have you called your AC and where are you moored? Regards Marina
  9. It was very funny, because you would have no signal and then you would receive a text / message and back to no signal . Then traveling on the upper Yare I could post 3 photo from my mobile. Don't you just look the Broads . Regards Marina
  10. Not sure if this is old news, but we got told during the week that The Nelson is still not catering for food. Regards Marina x
  11. After the last 2weeks out on the broads and between Ian and myself our signals on our mobile phones were sometimes a no go. I went for around 4days on north river, where my mobile said "No Service". I could not understand how others were writing post, when I could not get a signal and how dear JawsOrca could post on Barton Broad. Should we have mobiles with different contract just so we get signals / service?
  12. Well, as Ian has said we are sadly home, but . The past two weeks on our dear Sweet Kingfisher has been a fabulous holiday . The boat in herself was out of this world after Graham from Maffetts has done her repairs . We had met some really nice people during our holiday and well as for the weather, say no more . I must say over the last 2 weeks of eating out the food has been very good and I can say no place has got a bad review from me. As for the photo above, which dear Ian has put on of me trying to drink (I had asked for half a Wherry shandy) trust Weatherspoons you get a pint drink free with a meal. How can anyone hold a pint glass, because I can't . Our next trip up, will be the last of the season, as we are having the boat taken out of the water, which is in early November . Regards Marina
  13. Iain congratulations on 2 years, as we all say " where have the last 2 years gone" . Like Grace said, we have not met. All the best . Regards Marina
  14. Hi Jules and , I agree with what other say and that is relax and enjoy, but I would say is to partly plan and then end up where your nose takes you . Have fun on north river . Regards Marina
  15. What Ian forgot to say it's Leeds Castle, Kent and it was a fab day. Thanks to our daughter for this Christmas present. Segway is a great experience and I find it relaxing in a funny way . Regards Marina
  16. Hi, this tide table to me is better than other's we use. Try it http://www.norfolk-broads.org/tides/tide_report.asp. It was shown to me via dear Alan (JawsOrca) I print a copy off every time we go up to the boat. It also shows you of the time to go through GY. Give it a try . Regards Marina
  17. We went under Bishop's Bridge, with our last boat a Shetland 4 plus 2 a few years ago. I did check it out with BA before we went through. It was good as we saw Norwich at a different angle from the river. Regards Marina
  18. Hi Peter, yes I know, but the hire craft crew do not, so maybe that should be in the hire craft manual . Should read " Wild life and floating reed's will move out of your way". Regards Marina
  19. We had to deal with a large private cruiser last Saturday on the Yare . Traveling along the Yare towards Reedham and there was a hire craft a voiding a large reed floating in the water and there was a large private cruiser deciding to overtake the hire craft, but the driver of the cruiser choose to move over to our part of the water . I was just about to come out of the cabin and Ian told me to stay and hold on, because of his wash . What a prat. Why can't other boat user's be a bit more considerate and to check their wash / speed when passing other boats . Regards Marina
  20. Hi Iain, sorry but it's not Ian, it's the other half . Ok may be we should have a look next time we are in Loddon. I just hope Ian can walk up the hill without getting out of breath, but if there is beer at the top he may just do it . Who loves u baby . Regards Marina
  21. Saturday night Ian and I had dinner at The White Horse, Chedgrave after leaving the guy's at Salhouse Broad with the Spring Meet. The White Horse restaurant was fully booked, so we sat at a table in the bar . The place was very busy, but the staff were great and ensured we were looked after for our meal . Great meal. This is where we met Charlie and we had meet Charlie before when we were with Alan and Dave (JawsOrca). This is Charlie As you can see Charlie is really a cute dog, but be loves people who eat in the bar and me / us being big softies could not say no to him. We passed another pub in Loddon up the far end called "The Angle", has anyone been in there? We were told the owner is the same as "The Kings Head" in Loddon. Regards Marina
  22. Hi Steve, have a great holiday . I wish you luck on the good old M25 and M23. I must say I don't miss holidaying abroad. We last went abroad over 2 years ago and our passports expired back in 2014 and we still have not renewed them . Norfolk Broads is sooo much more enjoyable and relaxing . Regards Marina
  23. Hello Andy, can I just check. Are you calling the Hermitage or the Tapas phone number? The Hermitage closed a good 2 years ago and that is now the Tapas Restaurant . Regards Marina
  24. I have on many occasion admired others boats and have spoken to the owner and have asked questions regarding their boat. As for going on or entering someones else boat would be breaking the law . All I can say to people is look, but DON'T touch . Regards Marina
