  1. Well Ian and I have had a problem this year regarding someone using our address as their address for a penalty train ticket cost, but with that one it is a child name on the letter. because they are asking for the parent / guardian of the named child. Every time we receive another letter from the company regarding the penalty, we write a message on the envelope, without opening stating not known at this address and we have even asked our postman to return any post not in our name back to the sender. Today my work colleague showed me a letter her husband received from TFL (Transport For London) regarding a congestion charge penalty, The only problem with that letter is, this man is in his mid 60 and in poor health, but he has never been behind a wheel of a car or had a driving licence. What is hard to believe is this person does not have an English name and it is not a common name, but his ID and address has been cloned. How can someone do this to someone or anyone and they will get away with it. They are scumbags. Regards Marina
  2. I agree with Ian. South River is short of moorings. We could do with a lot more moorings like Hadley Cross, in the middle of no where. Those who have not moored at Hadley Cross, a great quite location . Regards Marina
  3. I am going back 5 to 6 years ago and when we had our Shetland 4 plus 2. We were going over Breydon towards G/Y, when a BA boat pulled up by the side of us and asked what our height was. We told them and they told us we could keep going. So anyone who would have been to high, would have been turned around. Regards Marina
  4. All those years ago we would see / watch Concorde fly over us while waiting for trains at London Bridge. You would hear Concorde, before seeing her on her flight path into Heathrow . I am not into planes, but it was a great plane . Regards Marina
  5. Happy Birthday Andrew . Well I am a Kentish Maid, born and bred in West Kent, but sorry to say married a bloody Londoner, so moved to South East London to a new town called Thamesmead. Then move to an address of Erith, Kent and for the past 20 years living in Belvedere, Kent, but sorry to say still very much part of London. Give me Norfolk any day . Regards Marina
  6. What would be nice if, where the work is taking place (next to Barnes) is for Visitors Moorings though out the season . Regards Marina

  8. Thanks Ricardo, I put conkers on the boat and in my daughters bedroom here at home, as I have had around 3 in the bath, 1 in our bedroom and now 2 in the living room. In the house, they are taken outside, enough if I have to do it myself . Regards Marina
  9. Let's hope North Cove and the other moorings just down river stays a BA moorings. Regards Marina
  10. So, does that mean, at what ever time of day, you could be asked to pay £5 even if it's just a lunch break and not over night? I can say, we have never moored there and we will not moor there now. Regards Marina
  11. This year I have had more of the 6 legged insects in the house than any other year. A short time ago I had another one run across the living room carpet and all Ian could do was just sit there looking . Regards Marina
  12. This mooring's is on the River Waveney, close to the old railway bridges, just under 3 miles to Beccles. Ian and I thought this moorings was a BA mooring's, but how you have to pay for a 24 hour moorings. Ok, we could be wrong, but I think not. Anyone else noticed this moorings and the signage? Regards Marina
  13. Well today being halfway through our hols and we are moored in Wroxham. It has been the day for all jobs, but the launderette has new owners and I can say. Very helpful and will help with the machine if you are having issues. So thumbs up for them. Regards Marina
  14. What is the matter with the dog owner, why didn't they have the dog on it's lead . That poor dog, I feel so sad for the dog , but thanks to the person who went out to get the dog. A hero . Regards Marina
  15. So from the GoGoGorillas and last year the GoGoDragon, next year will be the turn of GoGoHare. The GoGoDragon's were brilliant from the smaller ones from the school children to the individual design's, so Norwich Trail 2018 is GoGoHare. The EDP are giving out details of designing a GoGoHare. Regards Marina
  16. This is the 21st century and the BBC still thinks WE the public should continue paying for what service they provide. The problem with that is everyone else has moved on, but the BBC still live in the past . I think it is about time the BBC moved on and joined the rest of this country into the 21st century . Regards Marina
  17. I have just received my TV licence details for 2017 / 2018, but a question . What do we pay £147 for in a TV Licence ? Any ideas, because in this day and age with so many channels, who can say you are watching BBC ? Regards Marina
  18. All our years of hiring boats and we travel from one end of the Broads to the other end, even using the heating and we always get some fuel money returned . Now our 2 weeks hols and we spend around £130 on fuel for the 2 weeks . Regards Marina

  22. Me Too. If you are in Reedham in September, pls I NEVER turn down an helping hand . Love reading your story above and we are like you offering an helping hand and yes some do take it. Ian has even taken over their boat to help them moor up . Regards Marina

  24. Last year, we had moored close to being across from Pulls Ferry, Norwich. When in the garden to the left of Pulls Ferry comes a young otter walking across the grass and ended up laying in the sun in a dip close to the edge of the bank, but just out of site to be able to fully see him. That was one place I did need expect to see an otter relaxing in the sun. For me total enjoyment . Regards Marina
  25. One thing I do enjoy watching on TV is Salvage Hunters with Drew Pritchard and his crew. Well last night he was in Beccles at a place called Vintage Mischief in Hungate Lane, Beccles. Drew likes Antiques, but Vintage Mischief is Vintage, which are items up to being 100 years old. It is worth a visit if you have time. I will try to drag Ian to have a gook look . Regards Marina
