  8. For perhaps half my working life I cooked for directors, many years also staff restaurants.now we are in the same market as big chains,we provide a good choice and bring in high street chains as pop ups.We provide food for everyone.
  9. As a chef I was trained in classical French food and British. Its a good base I still use, however now like many chefs I cook dishes from many parts of the world. Many people also eat food from all over the world. This has to be a good thing. You are right there are worrying treads many people including the young are overweight this needs to be addressed.
  10. One of the dishes I cooked this evening,at present I am working in one of the world's top Investment Banks. In the city of London. This was served in the staff restaurant. Savoyarde potatoes, baked in the oven with stock butter onions and cheese, corn fed chicken a cream and mushroom sauce.Crispy kale and oven dried cherry tomatoes. Give it a go mind you takes about three hours cooking all the ingredients.
  11. Just check there is enough water under the boat
  12. What I do is pre book moorings and table in pubs. Many are in broadcaster and Richardson's give a booklet eating out on the broads,Johnb is right I also have some back up on the boat, also tend to have dinner on the boat every other day.
  13. Welcome to the forum,if you wish/able to pick up the boat early,I would suggest you phone Richardson's they will tell you if it's poss. The fridges are standard on most boats note large but okay. There is a large Tesco in Stalham and some very good shops.Check out Truely local. If you have not been on the broads I would like others said say on the north.Norwich is a great city, also many great spots in the south.Get used to the broads, then come back next time for two weeks and go south as well. Have a great holiday We are up a week on Saturday. Ian
  14. Don't think it's in Reedham, unsure where it is.Sure someone will give an answer. Ian

  16. We have had one for a number of years,so to at home. The point you raised about neighbouring boats,is a good one something that never occurred to me. In my mind although a good reason to fit co alarm.Issues such as this need to be considered.
  17. Marina picked up the new car last night. All good just in time for the holiday. Up to the boat Saturday after next.Hope some of the warm weather comes back
  18. Marina sold the old car this evening, for almost the asking price. All good, problem being no car the weekend lots to do on Saturday.Due to pick up the new car on Monday,Marina was upset seeing the old car go,she did the same with our first boat.Sure she will cheer up when she gets the new car.
  19. Sadly some people see a number and call that. Some I am sure would complain to the speaking clock.
  20. I don't tip for pump outs or fuel, with cards I rarely tip on the card often giving cash as a tip.In fairness most pubs restaurants etc pass on the tips.Sadly there are a few that don't.

  22. Hope he returns to you soon Ian
