  1. I have said this before but will do so again. A number of years ago we were on the cut.Then saw the Reds flying overhead I waved.All of a sudden the two wing men dipped there wings.For sure that made my day.I have been lucky over the years to see them many times.For me the best display team in the world.I would love to fly with them
  2. We went last Friday bacon rolls.Really good service very good.Was very busy to.Was tempted to have the cake may be next time
  3. It is but when we went past last September,it looked a lot more tidy.May give them a ring .We intended to get a day boat.Then,Herbert woods charged 65 pound perhaps may craft will be cheaper.Many years since we went under the bridge.Sadly sweet kingfisher is to high.
  4. Olive oil and oil seed rape.Both are very good for you.As for cooking oil seed rape.Both will cook at high temperatures. Extra Virgin olive use for salads and dressing if you cook with olive oil use a lighter olive oil.It will save you money as well
  5. Good advice,try to add lots of fruit and vegetables. Cut down on fats.Where possible use olive oil and or oil seed rape.Both of which very good for you.Fish salmon,baked or grilled.Walk sometimes instead of the car or bus. Yes Treat yourself at the weekends high days and holidays.
  6. Very true some years back my aunt and uncle spent a day with us on the boat.I phoned around for them to bring there caravan. I was surprised how much they were charging
  7. I agree two points a, it is a National park b,it's Scotland. So I don't think it will affect the Broads and most of BA's income comes from boating.

  10. Yes I do however not seen them since October!Just to let you know your boat has been anti failed. We will check again the end of March. Sadly our weekend at Corton is coming to an end. Still been a very good weekend. We may do the same next year Ian
  11. I understood it as others have said our boat is ssr which gives us the right to fly the red ensign. WE will be supported by the Royal Navy if need be! Ian
  12. Back to the boat.Knocked off the rust and tar vanish.She looks a lot better. Back to Corton for a swim.Now having dinner
  13. We called into Brundall today will do some work on the Rudder tomorrow. Light lunch in the Bell Norwich. We found out the pub closes on the 27 Feb. For a complete re build and will reopen on the 4 July 2017.Back to Corton for a swim Ian
  14. We spoke with Grahams dad yesterday he told us three trees had come down on the Ant one on the chet. Also last night on look east trees on the line affecting Wroxham.
  15. Marina and I are at Corton again .on the way we called into see Graham. This morning we called into St George's tried one of there whisky very nice.Having dinner at present .Tomorrow checking the boat.If like me you like whiskey give St George's a try
  16. Very windy on the train up to London no earn yet Marina phoned earlier a big sheet of metal came off the roof in Lombard Street. Hopefully better weather tomorrow we are in Suffolk for the weekend and checking on the boat.Keep safe everyone . Ian
  17. When I worked in event catering,we used to have hand made chocolates done for us.The owner invited Marina and myself to his shop for chocolate tasting.My did my head hurt afterwards. Afew years back I did a coffee course. Some thing after tasting coffee all day.

  19. Sadly over the last few years,moorings have been lost and often bins taken away.With regard to rubbish collections.Where I live and I am sure where most of you live we are encouraged to sort and recycle.Yet it's does not appear to be common on the water Ian

  21. Welcome from me also.You will get under Ludham Bridge .Our boat is also 8.6.By all means come south but don't forget the tides and current is stronger in the south.Get used to the boat plan ahead then go for it Ian

  23. When I started work in the 70s.I was at the savoy then the Berkeley hotel then married Marina working for Nat West. If you worked on the markets pubs would be open early morning. Funny how many people worked on the markets (not). Ps my 1000 post Ian
  24. Agree with Peter I only remember pubs closing at 10.30 on Sunday. In London anyway
