  1. Yes well done also to Millwall.Good result for lower league teams.Helps out for the piggy bank as well for them
  2. Also agree I hope what ever happens. The pub reopens. We also always call into the little shop.We have a number of the small broad seen painting.
  3. I have the book about this man I was interested a because it was in Brundall and b it was at Eastwood where our boat was moored at the time.Cant give any more details because the book is on the boat.We are going up the end of the month. Back to the book,he attempted to sail round the world single handed.Did not quite work out he was far from doing so.In fact he fooled everyone but a US warship I think found the boat ,he was not on the boat.A interesting story if you get a chance to read it
  4. Also I like shopping Bluewater when I can .Bourgh market for food .Happy days.Marina does like shopping in Norwich. When we are on our hols in September we call in to Norwich on our last Thursday.Marinas bestest shop is the teddy bear shop She has a loyalty card.We often go shopping in Norwich anyway being based at Brundall

  6. I am willing to give a few bob if that help in a small way!
  7. I think the point is NBN may not be the largest site but what makes I believe us strong is we all have points sometimes we all can throw the toys out of the pram then someone will lightern the mood .I Am on a number of broad related sites, but for me NBN is the best, and long may it continue. Now if you disagree action man is out of the pram.
  8. Gracie can also advice on wine and shoes also job done
  9. I have been watching the planer, just watched when Phillip met Prince Phillip. Phillip Schofield had a series of chats with the Prince to mark the Duke of Edinburgh awards.P.S did a wing walk for the Diamond award. At a reception,Prince Phillip called him over and said here's another idiot he's a sky diver. You may need that if you fall off. When I worked for Nat West he often was a guest of the Bank.He was Patron of the playing fields association. We had a lunch time buffet. The bank pushed the boat out.Being summer there was beef lamb chicken seafood including lobster,Strawberry etc.A so called senior Butler.A cross between Delboy and Basil Fortal said to the Prince would you like mayonnaise on your lobster you Mayest you. Are I have been promoted. HE put sweeter not cream on his plate. A year later same event. The Prince walks in and said I don't think I will have the mayonnaise this year. A truly grateful man who has stood by and supported the Queen for much of his life.Well done Sir Ian,D of E bronze award (should have been silver)that's another story.
  10. As most of you are aware. Sadly some yoyos on day boats would fall out if it was 12 foot high. Ian
  11. Nice idea but they lost the moorings on the riverside. The owners withdraw the lease I believe .
  12. I hope and wish you good luck Rick.We always enjoy visiting the Lion.Yes the moorings do need improving.I may be wrong but I think they are owned by by someone on the right hand side. Not the pub. What ever happens I hope the pub comes back to life Here's hoping Ian
  13. After lunch we went to Wroxham and went into the Hotel. It looks a lot better I must say.The chocolate shop is good also. However there was no one to serve us. Ian
  14. Such a fine Actor.I agree I hope that this year does not turn out like 2016.RIP Sir John
  15. Today we are in Norfolk to see the boat.About six or seven doing the same. Then Potter, now at the New inn Horning for lunch Steak and Ale pie and a pint of Nelsons happy days.April is getting closer. Ian

  18. What was your wee dram? For Christmas I had St George's,from Norfolk. Very good indeed a snip at £52 a bottle.Hope to visit next month Ian
  19. Really as yet very little, there is signs of life but not a lot.Still it is starting to get a little bit lighter.Roll on April when the boat goes back in the water Ian
  20. I have said this before we used to visit friends in Scotland. When we crossed into Scotland on the train.I used to say look out for the haggis. It's got very big ears lots of hair and three legs.Look there's one over there. It helped time pass. The good thing is for three people you get a leg each.I thing Iain would laugh Ian
  21. Two years ago I helped about four boats to moor.Mainly they were worried mooring. So like a nice man I am I moored for them most the boats were bath tubs, interesting.I am pleased to say I did not bump other boats.Should have charged them.Good fun sadly my sun glasses fell off into the water.Do give it a try it's worth it and then walk up to the white horse for a pint and a meal. Also visit the shop just over from the pub.Its community run very nice to.Keep it local Ian
  22. Mooring is fine at Norwich. We Have done so many times.I would advise not to go over the weekend. We tend to visit on a Thursday. It can be a bit noisy .Best to use at least three ropes and mud weight.Norwich is well worth a visit, because we are based at Brundall we often go. Ian
