Passed moonlight shadow this morning just after we left griffs corner, headed for potter Heigham, currently all moored up in hw basin.

Moored up at griffs corner, my turn to cook aboard Broad ambition, so tonight we have stew and mash, the stew has been simmering since 16.30, potatoes in the pot just need boiling at 18.30, then mashing, pudding is apple pie, bramley apples with a sprinkle of sugar, topped with shortcrust pastry, with fresh made ( from powder) birds custard. 2 bottles (1 red one rose) of Australian wine (it had kangaroos on the label)- and that's my extent of wine knowledge). Lovely peaceful spot here at griffs corner, just the sounds of nature interspersed with the splashes of fishing gear deployment.

On our way up the bure, just about making 6mph, so far passed 3 other boats, all making best speed, but not 6mph. We have a tight schedule to arrive before sunset, so need to crack on.

Good news on the car front, the ecu repair place has accepted responsibility and sent a reconditioned abs pump to my garage, they will now fit it and take it to the volvo dealership across the road for coding. So looks like I may have my car back by next week.

We should be crossing on this afternoons tide too.

Moonlight Shadow passed by shortly after we had moored up at Reedham.

Short hop from the reedcutters to Reedham, moored up, ongoing BA maintenance, fixing a new plug and socket for the mast lights.

Stopped at the reedcutters, proper old style pub, after we had eaten our tea, we went in and played darts all evening, we were made very welcome, so a great stop for overnighting for the lads week crews.we had been told they were shutting at 10.30 when we arrived ( for stocktaking) but when we asked at 10 pm, we were told they would shut when we left, so all good there, mind you we had easily 10 of us drinking and playing darts all evening, in a lovely convivial atmosphere. It looks like I am the first awake this morning, and that was a good 2 hours later than my normal waking time.

Monica, it's less than half as far as from the yacht station, you pass through the line of buildings into the back end of the car parks at Morriston, about from the yacht station to the railway station distance.

We passed Rockland about 1 hour ago, and are now moored outside the reedcutters at Cantley.

Well it was off again, we left a bit earlier and popped in to the white heron for a jar or two, also a new connector was purchased for the mast electrics, I guess that will be down to me to fit. From Brundall we headed downstream for Cantley and the reedcutters for our evening session, and a game of darts maybe.

The bollards stop just in front of Broad Ambition, but otherwise we couldn't see anything, elsewhere along there are no mooring signs, but not here, plus its handy for Morriston, MM I believe there were only 6 partaking of the 36 shots, so 6 each

Update from Reedham, the little girl did have slight concussion, but is now home and recovering (we passed the lady who helped out today just as we approached the yare / wensum split.

Well what a day, cruise from Ranworth to Loddon, witha pub break at Reedham ferry. This was where we came to the assistance of a yachtsman whose toddler had fallen and cut open her head, he came in and we grabbed the ropes and got him tied up, another lady jumped in with the first aid and called the ambulance. This duly arrived and carried the father and daughter to hospital , while the lady who knew the sailor took care of the boat until her husband could get there and take it back to its home mooring., while all this was going on, we looked after the lady's dog for her. When we arrived at Loddon I took on the task of changing the shower fan, replacement fan installed still no go, in the end it involved disassembling the rocker switch and cleaning the contacts.. finally working after an hours work.

I could see them jostling to get best position.

Now in convoy heading for great Yarmouth.

There were only 2 boats on the side section too, it is my belief that the broads authority are already making more money than they expected, and if they intend to prosecute someone, then what if they lose, their cash cow will effectively dissappear, under those circumstances I would be thinking twice whether to risk that situation.

Good to meet up and chat.

We have just moored 3 boats at sunset at Ranworth, when we refused payment they told us we couldn't Moor there, but when it was pointed out that the hire boats could not navigate after sunset, the gave up on that serving us notices instead. I must point out that the small text on the signs is unreadable until moored up and approached within a few feet.

Well I am here, ii have made it aboard, train journey went painlessly, all good transfers. Broad Ambitions major engine service has been completed and we are all ready to start tomorrow.
