  1. The one with the Labrador looking over the stern looks like it could be Ranworth Staithe. Was the boat Collins, Royal Emblem.
  2. Oulton Broad. Coming down into the broad on the right hand side alongside Nickolas Everett Park.
  3. Womack Island is one of my favourite spots and mud-weighting in Ranworth Broad.
  4. We were one of the first to hire Skyhawk from AlphaCraft. An excellent boat with plenty of room. Dual steering was a bit of a novelty on hire boats at that time. I hope you enjoy it.
  5. Yes it is that time of year again. I have seen the birds on there quite a few times in the last week. The Bath webcam has also been active with the first egg being laid during last night.
  6. Approaching the nature trail coming down from Wroxham.
  7. Kevin Cook posted last week that he is getting Aboatime ready for sale in the next 2 / 3 Weeks. It is a 32 ft Alfa Craft Center Cockpit. Search Alpa 32 For sale to view original post which was last Thursday and send him a pm. I will try to contact him tomorrow.
  8. It was also on this site last Thursday. Search Alpha 32 for sale
  9. We spent many happy hours in the Fox and Hounds at Loddon which was at the far end of the village. It was converted into houses with more being built on the car park.
  10. That is correct. Langford told me the same and that he personally took the first boat up to potter heigham to make sure it would.
  11. Reading the NBD hire information for next year they are offering a 5% loyalty bonus to redeem on your next holiday booking. Only 1 bonus can be used per new booking.
  12. Hi Johnash. You won’t be disappointed. We have had Swan Roamer twice. It is comfortable and has plenty of room for 2. We normally go in April either side of Easter if it is late. Enjoy.
  13. Hi Floyd. If you google www.postcardsfromthenorfolkbroads.net Select page 5 and there is a picture of Santa Catarina as it was in approx 1966. After the write up is a copy of the hoseasons holiday catalogue advertising it for holiday hire.
  14. Floyd. I don’t know if this may be relevant. I have been coming to the broads since the late sixties and remember how striking these boats were. We were moored in Great Yarmouth one year when one of these craft (Don’t know which one) misjudged the bridge height and hit the canopy with sufficient force that it turned right over and was left hanging off the back of the boat.
  15. We booked a room at the Inn at WRC the weekend before last. On Saturday night there were only 2 WRC hire cruisers with no one on them, 2 small private cruisers and 1 yacht in the mooring basin. No hire federation boats. From what I could see there is no charge for hire federation boats. (Mooring only).
  16. Love the Norfolk broads. Nathan works at the Yacht Station.
  17. Nathan Betts, has just posted a picture of Yarmouth Yacht Station showing the tide covering the walkway.
  18. Speedtriple. Ref you other post. I think they took over one of the sheds on what was the old Alpha Craft site.
  19. On their Facebook page they are advertising 30% off until 18th October. (Half Term)
  20. If you go on their website and put dates in for December it comes back with available boats and prices so it would appear that they are extending their season.
  21. I see on their Facebook page Ferry Marina are offering 30% off new bookings for boating holidays from 31st August. Short break and full week. August has been the only month since April that they haven’t openly advertised a discount.
  22. I saw a post on another broads website from a lady who said that her husband had been called out to attend a boat aground on Breydon. Someone replied, I thought it was closed to hire boats. the reply was, It is a private boat. This was a couple of hours ago. A post from the rescue boat said that it was I little Sealine cruiser that had run aground and was being battled by the waves.
  23. l saw a post on another Norfolk forum about 3 hours ago from a lady stating that her husband had been called out to a boat aground on the Breydon. Someone replied that they thought it was closed to hire boats. The reply was, It is a private boat.
