  3. There is seven foot under the bridge at the moment. I saw 7’ 3” on it yesterday.
  4. Not so sure Andy. When Fair Regal was launched EDP did an interview with James Knight from NDP and he said - Launched by Wroxham-based firm Norfolk Broads Direct, the introduction of the Fair Regal cruiser was part of his company's drive to innovate and separate itself from its competitors.
  5. Herbert Woods have put pictures on their Facebook website of the new 46ft mould which they have taken delivery of this week.
  6. The pump out is done from the dyke in front of the shops. I am not aware that they sell fuel.
  7. As above. To book an overnight mooring 17.00 hours till 09.00hrs ring The Big Shop at Womack Tel No 01692678193. It costs £10.00 overnight.
  8. The Ferry Inn at Stokesby re-opens at 7 o’clock tonight following it’s refit.
  9. Horning Ferry Inn. Woodbastwick on the opposite bank.
  10. In the late 70s early 80s we hired Thunderbolt from Alph Craft. We went under Beccles Old bridge on the Saturday. We moored outside the Waveney House Hotel. On the Sunday morning we woke to an exceptionally high tide which continued rising throughout the day. The river over spilled and flooded the marshes on the opposite bank. We had to move from outside the Hotel and were provided with a safer mooring at Arrow Boats, a little further upstream. With the assistance of Aston Boats, Alpha Craft engineers and a falling tide we managed to get back through the bridge on the following Friday evening.
  11. Pedro’s are opening in Grimsby. Google Pedro’s@themanor
  12. The sign states that the £20.00 is a mooring charge. Nowhere on the sign does it state that it is conditional on you using the pub.

    Beccles

Andy. If you moor at the swimming pool and turn left out onto the lane, the Waveney House Hotel is on the river, a couple of hundred yards down on your left. From there you can go up the steps on the right into the churchyard which is at the top of the town. I haven’t been in the Geldeston Locks since it’s refurbishment but I can recommend Geldeston Wherry.
  14. I think you are right. I have just seen a post that they have no power in the riverside properties downstream from the river entrance to Herbert Woods boatyard.
  15. The Herbert Woods Webcam has also gone down. It was working earlier but was very Shakey.
  16. Hi. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your boating.
  17. I looked at Barnes Webcam yesterday and it was showing 6’ 9” which was the highest clearance I have seen for a while. It is now just showing the 7ft marker.
  18. Yes. It was originally named White Diamond 2 and was in the Sabina Marine hire fleet from 1996 to 2008. It was then sold to Royall and Sons and renamed Royal Oak. It then went to Barnes Brinkcraft when they Purchased Royall & Sons. I assume the furniture was change when it went into private ownership.
  19. Have they got it back yet ?🙈😀😀
  20. Griff. I watched the video and then deleted it. I can’t now find where it was posted. Can andyg assist, as he also saw it .
  21. I also saw the video yesterday. It lasted 27 minutes and toured all the Richardson mooring basins and the wet shed where your boat was moored. I think it was a recent video as the mooring basins were completely full of Richardsons boats, indicating it was taken out of season.
  22. Herbert Woods have been jet washing quite a few boats today with the aid of the red mobile crane.
  23. Whispering Reeds in Hickling have Houseboats and a small cruiser / day boat.
  24. When I hired from Alpha Craft the pump outs were pumped into large tanker ( Like they have on farms ) When it was full Langford used to hook it up to the tractor and take it up to manhole cover up by the Station, just past the Yare Pub and empty it into there.
  25. Probably a special extractor required. (More expense) 😂
