  1. Now then, I’ve no problem with “scruffy live aboards”, BUT don’t hog the 24 hour moorings. You have to keep moving, that’s just the way it is…😎

    Water

Quite a few years ago, we had new build commercial premises in Norwich, obviously with a water meter. When the meter reader came round to do what meter readers do, he asked our warehouse manager where the meter was. He replied he didn’t know. After about 20 minutes or so searching he gave up, and we never did get a water bill…😎 BTW it turned out the meter was under the forecourt, where I parked my car…😂
  3. Seconded. The only thing I don’t like is pubs changing names…😎
  4. We were very happy with the service, price and finish, shame we no longer own her, but Chiltern Lady is a nice upgrade…😎
  5. Although we’ve never met, I have met Alan when he sorted out the carpets for our Hampton, Bluebell. Wishing you all the best…🤞🤞😎
  6. If you don’t want to diy it, I used Boulters in Horning for Bluebell…😎
  7. I often make it my last night aboard, get a pump out in the morning and head back to my home moorings with a nice fresh empty tank…😎
  8. I’ve used the mooring before, and I believe the pump out is back action…😎
  9. Well that’s the second new purchase I’ve heard of today. One of the attendants at Beccles YS told me yesterday he was picking up his new purchase from PH and coincidentally I’m now moored at Ranworth and he pulled in for an overnight on his way back to Beccles. Good luck with the trial, Bikertov, I hope it’s everything you want…😎
  10. Yep, although I don’t have mobility issues the rangers helped me moor by a ladder to make it easier for me the climb ashore…😎
  11. Scary more like as kid in a 16’ launch…😎
  12. Let me state at the outset,I’m against mooring charges at previously “free” moorings. However a lot of words have been used discussing signs and their contents. Do other moorings that charge e.g. Salhouse, Womack etc have similar signage or do they just say how much it is to moor there?
  13. I remember it like that. The restaurant was run by ‘Chalky White’ and it was a great place to be as a kid. The landlord of the pub was Ted Nugent and it was a Morgan’s House prior to being taken over by Steward and Pattesons, and subsequently Watney Mann (oh dear, Starlight and Red Barrel 😩)…😎
  14. I suppose a picture might help…😎

    Wished I could join you…😎
  16. I’ve already said, along with others, that I will not be paying…😎 However I agree with what I think you are alluding to, we need a legal opinion on the legality of these charges…🧐
  17. Couldn’t agree more. I shall be doing the same…😎
  18. Here is the notice that appeared on a FB page:
  19. I think it means it’s not retrospective. So those of us that have not paid since charging started cannot be issued with a MCN…😎
  20. That’s my initial thought…😎
  21. I see from the FB page (BRAG) there’s been an update. A new notice has appeared stating that by mooring at the Staithe you are entering into a contract with the BA and agreeing to pay. Failure to pay will result in a £60 fine(?) plus costs…
  22. Just saw it on Look East, well done Ian and Marina…😎
